Decided to continue my adventures into trying so called "OTC" blends that I haven't smoked since the '80s (or their match versions for those no longer made) Right now it's Field and Stream Match. I don't have a specific enough recollection of the original to draw a comparison but it has a somewhat familiar flavor from the past. It's actually a pretty good codger type blend. Smoking it in a MM Diplomat apple. Does it taste more like Field, with hints of Stream, or like Stream, with hints of Field?

Rattray's Marlin Flake 2018 in a Peter Brakner Handcut from 1960-1962. Rec'd for handsome pipe and the unreasonable goodness of Marlin Flake.

Just finished a 2nd bowl ever of Early morning pipe in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122 bent pot. A few days ago I received 5 tins of EMP and 5 more tins of Black house. The EMP was pretty blah for me, so far. I’ll take Father Dempsey, Presbyterian and Black House anytime over EMP. I have a tin of 965 in a mason jar. Not thrilled with it either. Maybe I just don’t care for Petersen labeled tobaccos. See what you think after aging that EMP and MM965. MM965 is one of my top favorites. However, I’ve found that I don’t like young MM965 and find that, for my taste, it needs at least 18 months of age. Thanks for the response! By aging it do you mean leaving it in the unopened tin or putting it all into mason jars? Thanks!

What you've opened, stash away in a tightly sealed mason jar and don't open for a year+

Good morning! I've got a steep task ahead of transplanting 100+ more tomatoes and garden work cut out for my day. I finished a heel of some Habana Daydream in my new MacArthur polished bent cob and figuring out what to smoke with coffee.
Going with 2016 Haunted Bookshop in my Mark Twain with orange/black Forever stem and 14k gold filled band.

100+ tomatoes? Holy s___! I usually get by with 8-10 plants. This is year #2 without a garden and I'm not very happy about that. 3 years ago I worked my garden like a mad man and had a freezer full of veggies. My step mom gave 90% of it to one of her daughters to make baby food. I wasn't happy and nothing has been planted since.
On topic: Rimboche S.J. after feeding my 3 amigos waffles and "fresh" fruit.

There are over 350 plants in total, many already 10 inches tall under 600 watt high pressure sodium light. Starting this week, many will be flying "out the door" and middle of next week most will be getting transplanted into my garden, over at my mom's, neighbors and sold. I've had to stage them and time their growth because I have to get rid of the first 100 or so plants before the next ones are able to be grown out to 5 nodes in size, would not have the room for them.

Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee. Busy day today, out and about until a half hour ago. Had Haunted Bookshop, Three Friars and McConnell Ready Rubbed with me. Sunday cob and the drunken poker were my pipes.

You were really into Yorktown back then, and I new you'd need a corndog, but C.H. is a wonderful blend to stuff in such a pipe. Well done, and cheers Josh!
