I considered picking one up, but I already have a few briars to break-in, so I squashed the impulse. Let us know how it smokes!

All is right in the world now... However look at the new warning label...I see this 2 ways. One distracts from what was good tin art and two, by complying to new labeling requirements for the current deeming rule, it's a blend going forward after the rule is implemented.

That's the same warning label the tub has had from the start. I look at it as at least the coolest and most neutral warning label on a tobacco container. All it says is "This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical" Coolest warning label on a tobacco tin or tub. LOL I do notice that the first plastic tubs did not have that warning, but as far as I know since it was re-release a few years back it's had this label? I guess now I'm not sure. Jim would know.

This arrived this morning. I just finished half a bowl of C&D Crooner in it. It smokes well. I'm also lucky I went out and got it early, as it's raining very hard now.

The earlier tubs did not have the warning. When the FDA rulings about adding warnings came, Sutliff - as well as other companies - knew eventually they were going to have to change their packing to add the "warning". So, when it came to ordering new labels for EGR, and knowing tubs do not sell as well as tins or bulk, they decided to go ahead and print the warnings now to avoid trashing inventoried, outdated labels later.

It just occured to me that without any sort of prior planning, the last three pipes I have purchased all have a form of bent Dublin.

I've complained EGR is a bit pricey in the 1.5 tin so ordered the 12 ounce tub this time around, having received that advice by some mug who is somewhat familiar with it. Coming along for the ride is a 14 ounce tub of Heine's Blend and 5 pouches of Carter Hall (all they had) and in direct comparison, I find CH to be noticeably fresher and better tasting in the pouch. Trying another Stokkebye 4th Generation tin, this time, 1982 Centennial Blend, after recently enjoying 1897 and 1957 offerings. Good smokes your way.

Was seeing all these posts bout the P&C sales, so I decided to stop over and take a look. Nothing that really appealed to me, but since I was in the shopping mood, I figured I would check out SP.com. Came across this on the English estates page. Not much into purchasing pipes unless they are commissioned, but I always wanted one of these and they are hard to come by. It's a Willmer Bel Air. Fit's right into my style and it's a classic.

Awesome Willmer, Justin! Do you have others in your collection? Nope, that's my only one. I have always liked the looks of the Bel Air, but never pulled the trigger.

I like them types of pouches and design, they hearken back to a time when pipe smoking was common. My first set of golf clubs was a Bob Hagey set from a thrift store, and it had a similar print....as I put it in the bag stand outside the nineteenth hole enjoying a cigar and a drink, it was always fun to watch people do a double take....It wasn't unusual to hear..."Wow, there is an old duffer out on the links today"...I was 20 something.

I actually liked the Yellow Rubber ones, too. Had a thread where Ron69 mentioned at the price if it was not bad if I bought one. At the time I was thinking of buying several. This one will do nicely, and I can't find the rubber one again.

This is the roll up pouch that I use now. These Decatur roll ups are the best performing, most durable roll up pouches that I have seen in 30+ years of pipe smoking. I just wish they came in more than only 2 colors.

I have an order of mason jars that are due tomorrow. Wolfman, I don't know if this will do you any good, as people like uniformity. I already have different shapes on jars and for the price bought four dozen of these. Not the same as my other 8 oz jars, but I actually like the shape, that they are squat, not prone to fall over. They don't stack one on one, but I pyramid. 5.96/dozen canning jars

Recently at a Walmart near me in the clearance aisle, I was able to pick up half pint Mason jars for $4.00 per dozen. (The wide mouth plastic canning funnels are very handy when jarring your tobacco's also.)
