Take notice......especially Perry and Stone....... I’m going to bid on the Reverse Calabash Pipe from HS Studio. Just a heads up👌👍👍. My only Reverse Calabash Pipe I own now is a big Sherlock Holmes and a MM Cob. Hopefully I can win this one on the cheap side. Selling off some of my knives and paying bills off, I deserve a treat......so I think.......lol.

You do indeed deserve it Ted. I've been eyeballing a couple myself. I think I'm going to pass on the pipes for a while and make 1 more large tobacco order before the twins get here.

Josh, I don’t blame you for stocking up BIG time now with POUNDS of tobacco’s. If you ever need a pipe, I have plenty.....so don’t worry about pipes👍👍👍. Selling off a number of my knives I collected through the years is working out well, turns out a good investment. More so then Liberty Half dollars and Morgan dollars which sank in value!

As it is, I have more pipes than I smoke. But yes, several pounds of favorites, along with some blending tobaccos are a must.

My 8oz of PS 306 English Oriental Supreme & 3.5oz of MB Plumcake just arrived. Yipee!
I'll push my luck & see what happens if I order more tobacco for when the new laws take effect on July 1st. Not sure what to order next. Thinking of ordering a pound of Black Cavendish for blending purposes. What bulk BC do Patchers recommend?

No tossing of a coin? Lol, you're a true gentleman Ted. I'm after a Poker & a Reverse Calabash is at the top of my wish list so that pipe would satisfy both requirements. I'll PM you with my max high bid. If other bidders go beyond that & out bid me, you're welcome to have at it. (The exchange rate from $US to $AUD is now 67c so you'll still be in with a chance)

Whether I win or am outbid I'm sure that the seller will have more Reverse Calabash pipes up for bid, so the next one that comes up that you're keen on I'll leave for you.

I have a few bulk samples and some vaper tins on its way. Now that McClelland and Dunhill aren’t blending I’m trying EMP substitutes and looking for some vaper to start curing. Kentucky flake,Escudo,Murray, and Seattle Pipe Club tins. I wanted to get a MM cob but the Emerald isn’t available where I get my tobacco. Escudo is good fresh but cured until it turns black is so much better.

Do you have access to the charatan tobacco matches for dunhill?

Had a nice pipe club meeting yesterday. Paul’s pipe shop brought some pipes and old tobacco in for purchase. Good conversation, good tobacco, and good times. Picked up a nice Spaniola for a great price.

What a coincidence. I found that seller last night & I've been outbid on a few pipes that sold this morning (my time) I'm really low on funds so bid really low. Just to let everyone know; apart from the Reverse Calabash, I'm keen to bid on the Road Town Volcano Poker. Just checking that the top bid is not a Patcher - e***e [321] This morning I won a Road Town Bulldog with army mouth stem & a Road Town Bent Army Diamond shank, both for $11.99usd (I'll have to change my habit of putting in a low bid so it appears in my Bids/Offers column, expecting to be outbid. I was the only bidder on both & won by default, lol) Just so you're all aware; some of these pipes have a mortise that's not centred in the shank. Not a big deal if it's a really thick shank but not so good if it's on the thin side. A good example is a Road Town Bulldog (sorry don't know how to link but that auction finishes in 4 days 20 hours) If anyone has checked it out I'd like your opinion if you think that the off centered mortise is an issue or not. (For the record; no, I'm not bidding on it. I've already got 5 of their pipes, lol)

elric........if you win a pipe for $11.99 and it’s a good smoker and the mortise hole slightly off should not make a big difference. I’ve now won 10 pipes from this seller in the past 3 years. Only issue I had recently was the draft hole was drilled properly at the bottom of the chamber but slightly to the left. So, I drilled out the daft a bit more to the right. Now smokes perfect and also alleviatedthe whistle like effect when I blew into the stem. Also, I looked at the pipe in question, it’s hard to tell for sure in the picture if the mortise is off centered. Not my style of pipe for sure.
