Russ - I'm intrigued to understand the reason for drying first (approx. 2 days) before jarring, rather than straight from freshly opened tin or bulk pouch to jar. Do you expose your tobacco to tepid open room air, or air conditioned cooler dryer air? Thanks!

Just ordered some nonfiltered bits from MM to convert some of my Tom Sawyers and Pony Express nose warmers to a full length pipe. I smoke these during my work day.

I have a Pony Express I keep in the truck as a work pipe. I've been trying to figure out how to make it shorter. But maybe I should go longer.

I ordered some Motzek Strang and that arrived a few days ago. About the only other thing in the mail these days are screeners - Emmy time!
Houses are a pain in the arse when it comes to buying or selling. And with the stratospheric prices in California it now costs $600,000 for a termite ridden shite box in a gang infested neighborhood. $800,000 in Oakland for the same.
Good neighborhoods it's seven figures and up. No, there's no bubble here...

Good neighborhoods it's seven figures and up. No, there's no bubble here... That's outrageous. Here in Arkansas, you can get a pretty decent house, in a pretty decent neighborhood for well under 200k. If you want land you may need to go higher though. Granted, wages are lower here and work can be tough to find. But still, that is an incredible difference. Long story short, were buying the house we have been renting for the last year. We already know the seller and she its working with its every step of the way. That alone is making the process a lot easier.

We are on house number 3. First two terminated because of unreasonable sellers after inspection. Hopefully the third time is a charm.
Here in Philly, depending on the neighborhood, you are looking at about $350k for a 1200-1500 sq. ft. row home, many with a shoebox for a back yard. Once in awhile you get lucky and find something under $300k, but it's usually a fixer upper. New builds in the neighborhood we are looking in start at $475k, and most of them are condos.
It's a tough market right now here. Low inventory and competitive bidding.

Jeez... Good luck man, hopefully this one will be the winner! Well, looks like this one wasn't meant to be either. Got a call from our agent last night. Someone came in with an all cash offer. Another one bites the dust.

Another one bites the dust. And the migraine continues... So it's back to square one again, I bet the misses is getting tired of the hunt by now too. Best of luck to you guys, seriously, the market sounds like one hell of an uphill battle around there.

I hate when people try, or succeed, to pull one over on someone. Too many people out there that don't give a crap about anyone but themselves.

Some nice stuff in that order, Mark! By the time the partridge gets to you, it should just be ready for the pot as well.

They did better than that ... 4 vacuum sealed packs, one of each variety. They are the ones in front with the Dominican filler in back: The Indonesian Besuki wrapper looks great ... milk chocolate color with a nice leathery, aged look to it:

8 oz bag of Tilbury 5 tins of assorted Brigham - 3 of the Acadian and I can't remember what the other two were. Supposedly there is also an 8 oz gift Bag of 7 year old Stonehaven as well, though that is unconfirmed at the moment.

A nice surprise in the post this morning to cheer me up, the first of my German orders, the Balkan Passion & Great Dixter, the aroma complements each other wonderfully, I look forward to a quick sample of each and a full bowl this evening G.W.

Had a "Scouse cowboy" lunch of Irish sausages & baked beans ( with extra hot chilli ) first time for "ages" & felt tempted to binge and buy "tobacco, tobacco , tobacco" . But I restrained myself & bought some King Edward Imperial cigars & Samuel Gawaith Canon plug. Looking forward to my Strang order.......
