I tried Falcon & clay pipe many years ago but look hope to give the Falcon a fresh try, You will enjoy those for sure Motto , but IMO to get the best bang for the most inexpensive buck and all around great smoke, a corn cob is the way to go. I have pipes that cost a fortune and cobs that cost less than $20. US.. I reach for the cobs 10 times to 1... they smoke great, easy to keep clean, and stay taste-neutral extremely well... just my opinion...

Me too, Baboo I used to go everywhere with my faithful corncob in my mouth, but I like to try a variety of pipes now I have taken up piping as a hobby, and not just "bread & butter" way of life. Variety is the spice of life ( in moderation) .

It's Strang Pur Cut, its described and pictured as a coin. My German isn't good enough to be certain, guess proof will be in the delivery.

Edit to add Motzec said they would be out of Strang Pur Uncut till this fall. I'm hoping the change of management (as of May 1) doesn't mean a change in blends.

In the past two weeks I received 11 tins of various Seattle Pipe Club offerings. I am looking forward to trying them, as they generally get great reviews. Got 9 tins of the small batch red Virginias. And four 3.5 oz complimentary tims of Borkum Riff...probably going to see if I can use them for trade at my B&M....not sure if they can legally do it.

My morning Royal Mail delivery , next day post for my Original Missouri Corn Cob Freehand Extra Large Bent Pipe, it is King amongst corncobs , hopefully this will be my smoking companion in my shed , in my little garden, for many years piping, thank you Lord. My plastic little greenhouse fell apart due to sun & frost, so I could not grow my flowers from seed this year, hence plant plugs through the post, these are 20 Antirrhinum ' Kim Mix ' , but God's gift for his garden, I hope to build a little wood & glass greenhouse this year. TG.

Another little gift from the Royal Mail , a little sister to yesterday's ebony holder from China, but delivered promptly from China for less than £5 , altogether for the two, no postage, as you see in the photo there is a tar trap & a filter. I will try my Doyar's briar holder ( with different size rings) with. a King Edward over the weekend. I also ordered some 9mm & 6mm pipe filters. And two different Kendal plugs of tobacco.
