My Chinese cargo cult gift of 24 corncobs, for peanuts. Also ordered 10 different beautiful hardwood pipes direct from China for peanuts, a lot cheaper than Slav pipes. Thank God.... I want to customise the corncobs.  |

2 8oz bags of Esoterica Margate from Mars Cigar are waiting at the Post Office. They will be delivered on Saturday when I return from Kansas. Congrats Dave. Not exactly flying under the radar but Margate may be one of the most under-rated tobaccos out there. Enjoy. |

2 lbs of McClelland #2015 from Pipes and Cigars which was on backordered in the mail now, one of the finest bulk offerings available IMHO. Pipe and Leaf also briefly had Germain Medium Flake up for a while the last couple weeks. I've never tried it so I scored a few tins. Straight Va so I'm hoping it ages well.
With retirement coming at the end of the month, I'd like to tell y'all my cellar is complete but we all know that would be a lie despite my best efforts. In anticipation of this time I've went pretty crazy the last five years, have enough tobacco on hand to last both me and my younger pipe smoking cousin the rest of our lives, plenty to share with others and no need for more; nevertheless, TAD still beckons.

Pipes and Cigars sent me a 20% off appreciation card on any order before 10/31. I have more pipes and tobacco on hand than any sane person needs; however, I wanted to make one more order before I retired. 10 50g tins of Solani Aged Burley Flake, 12 MM Country Gents and two boxes of Grabow filters arrived this week.
Also received a 4 oz order of Organic Yunnan Golden Buds black tea from California Tea House, supposedly among the finest on the planet. We shall see.
