TAD this week includes: 2 oz. each of: C&D Burley Ribbon Cut C&D Cavendish Cut Burley C&D Dark Burley C&D White Burley 3 lbs. C&D Old Joe Krantz The Burley Ribbon cut is a good smoke. To me it is a bit stronger than their cube cut burley. It also at times has a bit of "roughness" to it that will show itself by giving you an itch at the back your throat or drying your mouth out. My opinion is that the cube cut version is the more refined and tasteful Irish twin of the ribbon cut.

Thanks for the insight, Sam. I have not had any of these. My only experience is with the Cube Cut. I wanted something that had a cut that would blend a bit better with some of my aros.
I'm looking forward to trying them all, and I'm actually excited to hear that the Burley Ribbon Cut is stronger than the Cube Cut. Should be interesting.

It will good for a blending tobacco although you may have to rehydrate it a bit. The dryness may be responsible for the edge it has now that I think about it.

New unsmoked Savinelli 2000 Pipe of the year with box, sock, 6mm filters and adapter. Couldn't resist at the price.
My 2013 Sav Pipe of the Year smokes like a dream, guessing this one will as well.
Have to sell another one now, but hey, it's all part of the fun.

Two NOS Ropp long billiards with measurements very close to those of the Merchant Service Bing made by Basil Meadows.
Ropps- Length - 6.30 in Bowl Depth - 1.46 in Chamber Diameter- .71 in and .73 in
Merchant- Length - 6.75 in Bowl Depth - 1.375 Chamber Diameter - .75
Not sure of the weight of the Merchant but the two Ropps weigh 25 and 28 grams. Scored them for 36.50 each.

A tin of RO Series Acadian Gold. from Pipes and Cigars
Lestrout posted on this and it caught my eye. It's the first "new" tobacco I've ordered in many moon as I rarely fall for the hype surrounding them. What piqued my interest was Canadian Gold Virginia processed in the same way as Perique. It's supposed to have a unique malty flavor which interests me. At $20 a tin it's not cheap but they only processed 2 barrels.

5 tins of Exotique from Smoker's Haven. After reading the reviews on this one at TR, I was somewhat surprised it's still available so I pulled the trigger this morning.

C&D Small batch Sansepoolcro x10 Good stuff. I got to try this before it came out. Tasty stuff. In the lines of ODF, only more refined in my opinion.

Received a pound of Watch City Slice today. Interesting stuff for sure. Smells like heaven in the bag and the long thick flakes are very interesting, almost a cross between flake and cake. Should be fun.

Should be fun. Another one on my list to try again. If I recall, it was similar to P&C Classic Burley Kake in the flavor department, but it's been over a year.

This one is richer than CBK, which I like, in my opinion and not as nutty tasting. The Kentucky plays a good supporting role. I can recommend this one. Well worth a try.
