I've been in a seriously egregious pipe smoking rut as of late. I've got loads of jarred tobaccos around me, tons of tins of stuff I've never even tried, and yet I cannot muster what the F*** I should even smoke. It's been going on like this for many weeks and I've not been able to manage more than 2-3 bowls a day for a while due to other time constraints.
It used to just flow on a whim, and so I guess I'm just going to force myself to start smoking some different things and do some cellar soul searching.
First up, I'm digging out some C&D From Beyond Old Ones series Small Batch jarred since last September. I'm going to smoke this in my Leonessa Briosa slight bent and rusticated apple.

Current 2022 tin of Peter Heinrich DARK Strong Flake. Current tin says Virginia and Cavendish with plum. No mention of dark fired, nor do I detect any. I still like it though.

looks like the chat just got fixed. "A server error has ocurred. We are trying to get it fixed". Course I dunno that there's more than one server, just 'nuther part of technology I'd never understand. headed to same a few after 11pm, hope it stays fixed. Usual pipes, usual two baccies.

I think I'm in a similar situation. My problem is part laziness and part not wanting to crack a tin that's tough to replace. I did open a tin of Scottish Cake. Such good stuff. |

hoping all off to a nice weekend. Full walks just done, Man o War Virtue 6.25x48 for company. After the Ed is fed, Apertif in SerJac Maxima 1/8 bent bulldog & onward with the papers. Write a few bill-pay checks, then "quality" time with the gals later (huge smiles).

With fall just around the corner, It might be time to dig a few good burleys out of your cellar and reset your taste buds with a good cob. Two Friend's Heritage is wonderful in a cob, for me that is, but you know your taste bud better than I do. I do know however, that as the cooler mornings draw near, many of us will get a craving for something different ,  opinions are worth about 2 cents , and there's mine. |
