I've been in a seriously egregious pipe smoking rut as of late. I've got loads of jarred tobaccos around me, tons of tins of stuff I've never even tried, and yet I cannot muster what the F*** I should even smoke. It's been going on like this for many weeks and I've not been able to manage more than 2-3 bowls a day for a while due to other time constraints. It used to just flow on a whim, and so I guess I'm just going to force myself to start smoking some different things and do some cellar soul searching. First up, I'm digging out some C&D From Beyond Old Ones series Small Batch jarred since last September. I'm going to smoke this in my Leonessa Briosa slight bent and rusticated apple. With fall just around the corner, It might be time to dig a few good burleys out of your cellar and reset your taste buds with a good cob. Two Friend's Heritage is wonderful in a cob, for me that is, but you know your taste bud better than I do. I do know however, that as the cooler mornings draw near, many of us will get a craving for something different , opinions are worth about 2 cents , and there's mine. You're definitely right. I've mentioned it before, but something about the fall just gives me a refresh and it's true for my pipe smoking as well. I'm already ready to dig out the fall aromatics and mix up some blends. I believe I picked up a tin to try of Two Friends Heritage after I saw you mention it was a favorite maybe sometime last fall or mid winter. I also have an 8 ounce tin of Redwood, both I've yet to try.

Zach, funny you should mention Redwood, it's my second choice when I think of Two Friends blends. I'm out of both, but way too well stocked to think about a tobacco order right now.

Former Private Flake in my favorite calabash. How is that blend? I rarely smoked aromatics, it seems that all of the tinned “Great Dane” signature series are generally aromatics. It doesn’t surprise me mind you, after all, they are huge sellers.

It doesn’t surprise me mind you, after all, they are huge sellers. The flavorings take a backseat to the tobacco. I can’t clearly pick out what they are from smoking it. Primarily Virginia comes through with a touch of burley. It’s a deep, rich medium/bright Virginia/burley kind of smoke with no sharp notes and no harshness. Also, I don’t smoke it right out of the tin, I think it needs at least a few weeks to settle down in a jar. To me it’s the kind of blend that a non aromatic smoker might like. Typing this has made me decide to have another bowl of it right now.

Greetings from Athens-Greece. There was a confrontation with the waitress because a) i ordered an espresso and not freddo b) she brought the coffee in that ''cheapy'' plastic cup but my wife tried to calm me down and ''let it go'' (in Greece we have it as ''let it go to the Devil'' something like ''what a Hell" in english). Stanwell Vanilla.
