A few years back, McClellands Beacon was recommended to my by someone that knows their stuff. I messed around and got a few tins before they closed the factory...this was really good stuff! And I regretted that I did not cellar away a ton of the stuff. For those that are in the know about it, and want some they are willing to pony up and pay big bucks for it. I recently was able to acquire a couple of tins of Beacon Extra made for the GKCPC (Greater Kansas City Pipe Club) tinned in 2009, released in 2010. The "extra" is because of the extra Perique.....this is even better! I know it is a different animal than the Christmas Cheer variations, anniversary tins, etc.... but if I could choose one McC desert island blends, there would be no other contender, it is heavenly. www.tobaccoreviews.com/blend/3959/mcclelland-beacon-extraIn a 1952 Dunhill Tanshell.

Smoking nothing as they don’t allow smoking in hospitals.🤷♂️ You may remember me mentioning a couple/few days that my allergies were acting up and cutting into my smoking. Turns out I was wrong and it is pneumonia. Not sure yet how long I’ll be here.

Hope they get it under control soon.

Hope they get it under control soon. Thanks! Very good improvement since walking into the ER 24 hours ago after thinking I was dealing with very painful constipation and laxative hadn’t helped. Numbers on enough tests out of whack related to the pneumonia that they’re keeping me for a bit. I was shocked and awed when the Doc came in 10 minutes after the CT Scan and said she didn’t need to wait for the radiologist to report back in another hour as she could clearly see I have lower left lobe pneumonia. Small town hospital but part of Sparrow Health System, the city is 9,000 people but the hospital can do all I need for this (they actually assessed this last night). Otherwise, I would have been transferred to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. So, it's great to be treated at a small friendly place only 15 miles from home.

Closer to home is always good.
And not to be indelicate, but who has power of attorney over your pipes? Asking for a friend.

Hang in there, John! Glad you ended up in a well staffed facility close to the casa, certainly makes it easier for friends and family.
Hope this all passes without too much discomfort.
