Gypo I opened a tin about 2 years ago, smoked 2 bowls, and found it pretty boring. It sat in a jar until a few weeks ago. It was pretty sparkly, until I put my grubby paws all over it. Since then I've only smoked 1 full bowl and now puffing on this one throughout the day. The nicotine is nice, keep in mind that I'm a BIG fan of nicotine. Also, a few small slices = a heap of tobacco. It's a plug, obviously, and it's pressed hard like a GH plug. I like it. It has a light sweetness to it, burns cool and very slow (if you can get it to stay lit), a LITTLE bit of a "dark fruit" flavor to it (I'm thinking raisin/prune). I have a few more tins in the cellar, and I'll eventually add more. If you wanna try some, I'll be more than happy to send you a chunk.

Thank you for the information on it I have two plugs of it in a jar in the cellar, did not trust the tin. Only have had a block of Spark Plug and enjoyed it also working on a block of Salty Dogs so far that one is a great smoke but very dense and needs drying time after shaving a couple slices off the block. P.S. Salty Dogs is not an easy one to find in stock have 5 more plugs stashed away

Gypo Same. I ended up buying 10 plugs of Salty Dogs a few years ago. It's delicious. 3Ps is dense, but not like that one.

I've smoked aros more in the last 3 days than I have in the last 3 years... what happened to me? Waiting on some Christmas Spice to dry. *shrug* I was going to say initially that I tend to smoke more seasonal aromatics, and aromatics in general in the fall/winter. Then I thought some more about it, and I really just overall like the variety and availability of smoking whatever I fancy on a whim. One week I smoke a bunch of different aromatics, then I'm on strong tobaccos the next, etc. Even a year or two here and there where I mostly stay away from aromatics I still smoke the Gawith aromatics, or the mild C&D aromatics.
So speaking of seasonal and in line with my little aside about Seattle Pipe Club last night... they released a Seattle Pipe Club "Christmas Spirit 2022" last night at noon EST today, that is Plum Pudding with VSOP cognac topping and it seems people are losing it and have had enough of Seattle Pipe Club gimmicks selling the same blend 5 different ways at $55 per gram. See SmokingPipes comments for this blend for the complaints. ( $156.40 a pound)
SPC are quickly approaching "$50 an 1/8th" (Obviously it's per quarter pound, but man) for their pipe tobaccos. Never thought I'd see the day.

Zach WHOA!!! I got the email, but didn't even bother to look at the price. I'm not a SPC fan myself. What's next? Plum Pudding doused in Champagne for New Years? Chocolate for Valentines? Tequila for Cinco de Mayo? It's a nice change, even with the low quality aros I do have. I love my VAs more than anything, I don't see that changing anytime soon, but I have been venturing off into my cellar for other things a lot more often

I guess it sold for $39.10 per 4 ounce tin. You're going to give them ideas.

That's an absurd price. I just bought 2 bags of Tilbury for less than that.
And.... people fell for it. $48,000 for 300 lbs of tobacco.....
If my math is right

$46,920 for 1,200 4 ounce tins, plus tax. That's a lot cabbage. I haven't purchased any of their blends for a few years or any tobacco for that matter. I went crazy early on and built a cellar that should last me 36 years at the rate I smoke. I'm 56 now so I'll be 92 when I run out but don't plan on being around that long. I might buy something that strikes my fancy but don't have a need at this time. At this time as much as I enjoy some Plum Pudding I have found other blends that are similar and less expensive. Early Morning Pipe is one of my go to blends that is similar and better priced. Speaking of, having some EMP in a Peterson 999 with water.
