Yeah.. Members are requested to proof read their posts before submitting them. Thread titles must be properly formatted: Capitalize all words in title except those with 2-3 letters, (“You, I, We” should remain capitalized)” Livin the life of a rebel, since Kevin ran me off. We barely follow our own rules here, let alone rules from another forum. What gives, man? Sheesh!! 🤣 That could be so for some. For others of us... "THERE MUST BE ORDER!" Ordnung, Ya! Just gotta say the lack of capital letters in the thread titles is killing my OCD-ness. I believe it's grammatically incorrect anyway, but UGHHH!!! January 1, 2023: removing some toxicity out of my life and refusing to explain myself to anyone that I don't HAVE to. Que sera, sera. I just looked back at the January “What are You Smoking” thread I started last night and realized I not only failed to use title case, but I also forgot the question mark. To be fair to myself though, I was drinking Grand Marnier straight up in a tumbler at the time. |

An inch or so of fresh snow on the ground this morning. How I was hoping for one foot! My cousin in Park City, UT told me they received 14 inches in a few hours. Sigh....

Regarding the water topic, stop trying to force the environment to your will. Certain places aren’t meant to have green grass lawns. Things like large agricultural complexes which consume huge amounts of water which does not naturally exist in the region should not be allowed. Go to the water and stop trying to bring excessive amounts where it isn’t. Yes, I live in the middle of the Great Lakes and hands off our water!!!

After 34 years at USPS, my mailman Dave is retiring. He’s delivered my mail for the 24 years that we’ve lived here. While I’m happy for and envious of him, I will miss our occasional chats as he was delivering the mail.

Let the wood stove cool off overnight and today so I can effect repairs on the inside. The result, naturally, is it is cold in the house  . Temperature dropped to low 20s (F) outside. Might be time to wrap up that job and ignite a load! (have fun with that mental image, youse guys). |

He did not need an address. Just a name. We shall not see the like of him again, I am sorry to write. Those people who are regulars in our lives mean a lot. I am that way at the food market I shop and my pharmacy. I have known them so long, I almost consider them family. |
