Posted a picture of a wrench used to turn very large valves, the cooling towers had 54 to 60 inch valves and we never could find one when we had to work on a pump at the cooling towers, hand turning was grueling. Had a Captain in the BR police force, got a keyed shotgun holder they were going to đ©can, had pipe fitters install it at cooling towers, only I had the key, finally I gave the shift formans a key with the warning you donât want to piss me off if you let someone else have it. Our work was much better at the cooling towers.

Thieves suck! I hope that you can get that rectified soon, John. I know around here, SRP that manages all of the irrigation has beefy chains and padlocks that would make messing with or stealing more work than it is worth. One of our drivers out of Ontario Ca. was on an out of town run, he was in a âgood neighborhoodâ and someone stole his backpack from the cab. His wallet was in the backpack, without his license and credit cards he could not drive or get a hotel room. I used to stash my wallet in the truck, but now it stays in my front pocket, and the cab is locked at every stop. I use the shorter shackle version for the freight. www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/master-lock-solid-steel-padlock-930dlhpf?cm_vc=-10005

I might start packing a holstered Rod on my belt, probably the Colt Commando. I need to communicate that I am serious about stealing from me and the irrigation Special District. Not a message I enjoy.

Nothing you can do. I'm just getting old. Sitting around and coughing for 3 weeks left me in bad shape. Then I tried to do too much. I did several other chores before I started on the lawnmower. If I had just fixed the mower yesterday and mowed today and tomorrow it would have been better. I forgot that I'm not 60 anymore. I recall that use a CPAP machine at night, yes?. Has it been cleaned recently? I imagine it would be kept clean, fastidious person that your are but I still ask to eliminate the obvious in our investigation, LOL!  Brand new mask and hose.

For about 100 years the mailbox for the place has been 50 yards west of the house at the point where the dead-end road ends. The turn around there is a bit restricted and cannot be reshaped. Last weekend two yahoos came down in their pickup and in turning around knocked over the mailbox over. Of course they just roared away, probably laughing all the way. Since this was not the first time this had happened I finally moved the box. It now lives just across the driveway from the house, opposite the dogyard gate and under a sheltering black cherry tree. I was surprised at the âfeelingâ created by this change. It seems to pull the place together. Nonsense, of course, but nevertheless⊠

The misery of hundreds of motorcycles, mostly that crap once made in Milwaukee, continues unabated. None of these knuckleheads have mufflers and the noise is deafening. It is only one weekend each year but each year it is harder to bear the burden of senseless noise. I hope you asshats in Red River are happy with this mess.

Going to my nephew's wedding, tomorrow. Once I'm home from that, I plan to take the weekend off. Mow the yard. Finish getting my new laptop set up. Sit on the patio with a good book and smoke a pipe.

When I was 19 and owned a HD Flathead, I removed the mufflers and ran open pipes until an officer of the CHP cited me and the local county magistrate put me on the County Road Gang for one week. I learned about not behaving badly. The problem today is the lack of consequences. No one seems to respect the laws anymore. Grumble and rant from .

They are the least likely to return the "motorcycle wave" as well. Too busy being macho ... so they think.

Okay, here we go. In the past years, gas prices magically went up with no explanations and none were ever asked for. This year? Ketchup! Some unknown mysterious force has caused the price of our favorite condiment to go up and, golly, just in time for Memorial Day BBQs, cookouts, and picnics. The official statement from the American Ketchup Association is that price increase is due to the culmination of several factors that has forced and blah blah. Just ballsy robbery.

Yesterday I was having lunch in Sun city, a one ton utility truck was pulled head in to the Ace Hardware store. He went to back out and a gal in a midsized sedan punched it and tried to dart around him. His huge beefy drop hitched punched through the car door and the bed of the truck crumpled both passenger pillars. He pulled forward and the hitch pulled the passenger side of the car apart, it was about the slowest totaling of a car I had ever seen.
I doubt the cops want to get involved to determine who was at fault, the way I understand it in such cases â you are on private property, it is up to your insurance companies to sort it outâ
In my personal vehicles, I typically always prefer to back into a parking lot space, more often than not people tailgating me-in the parking lot act perturbed at me doing so.

The club started to allow Harleys in the rides and the club dissolved. I used to ride with my nephews. Two were on Harleys with decent mufflers. The other one had a Yamaha 1700 with straight pipes. He had to stay in the back. I was on a Triumph so I was usually out in front. đ

Jefferson, just south of us, has about 6 or 7 motorcycle rallies a year. We always know when a group of Harleys go buy. I feel like standing by the road with a bat. Or the 450 Bushmaster. They manage to be louder than the Semi's with exhaust cut-outs and jake brakes. Another pet peeve. Lately I've been seeing more quiet Harleys. Hoping it's a trend.
