" Fort worth rib eyes " at Texas Road House, the 12oz ones. We both had sweet potatoes; Sharon got the house salad and I went for seasoned rice...oh my goodness, two helpings of their bread, plus iced tea. We're both full as three dollar suitcases...good thing we don't do this every week!

Lunch was grilled shrimp, catfish, and mixed vegetables. Supper was collard greens, green beans and pork loin. Trying to eat as much real food as possible. Appears you are on the right track with the good eats! Whenever I read of hear about Collards I think of this old gal I was in line behind at our Smith's market in Taos. She had a full sized cart loaded to a heap with Collards and just Collards. In her white cardigan sweater, bluish bouffant hairdo, I took her for a Texas lady. So, I said to her, "I bet you have a great recipe for Collards." She replied, in the polite manner of real Texans, "Yes, I do. It was my mama's and her mama". Bless her heart!

Sweet Italian sausage with Italian peppers and onions. Still in discussions concerning the sides. Hope negotiations don’t founder and there’s a dinner shutdown. (Just playing on the words. No political commentary intended or encouraged.) Rice made it to the menu, but the broccoli didn't because of some yuck that developed on it from being stored in a plastic bag.
