Picked up some organic carrots with greens attached for the Turkey Noodle soup stock. In the past, I bought the cheaper carrots, and they are like slicing through rocks, and all the flavor of a stone. These are great and reminiscent of the ones from my grandmothers garden…(that I used to pilfer when no one was looking… never fooled her though). One Christmas eve, my wife told her sister's boys{ages six and four}that the only true raindeer food was carrots with the greens attached...the crying wouldn't stop until their dad put down his egg-nog and went out to find those carrots. We laugh about it now, but looking back...I don't think he spoke to us till March.

Microwaved frozen meatballs on two tortillas with melted cheese and mayo. Hey, it's fast, easy, and doesn't require a lot of standing so there's no back pain involved.

Hope all having a nice weekend so far. So far mixed nuts & store brand frosted mini-wheats, CokeOriginal to wash down. Brunch to be Schwan #751 mac/cheese with cut up #411 sausage links, 6mins nuke. To back room & eat then to the papers & some junk snail-mail then call in JR cigar order

Made cheeseburgers in the cast Iron skillet, that I have had for years.(skillet) Some kind of reaction from the cheese… turned into lava..Glass cooktop razor scraper had to be utilized.

Polished off the rest of turkey, stuffing, gravy and three more dinner rolls bathed in butter and honey with a big ol spoonful of chunky cranberry sauce. Pretty happy with the seven pound Butterball just enough for the two of us and a lovable chihuahua to get two complete meals.

Sups done, was Schwan #458 Angus "Ed"cheeseburg on the indoor G.Foreman. Meaning no bun this time, (2) slices Am cheese & brown sugar on top. Sure Sunday another one with the roll during football. NO normal condiments beside just a little salt on the meat

A small token amount of left over turkey, a large helping of mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread dressing and green bean casserole. I Like green bean casserole i don't know why i don't make it more often its not like i cant find the ingredients year round.

Tonight's dinner will be linguine with clam sauce and salad. I was thinking of the same. Have plenty of Bar Harbor clams in cans and Bar Harbor clam broth. White wine, garlic, parsley, and butter. Not as attractive as whole clams in shells but a lot easier to prepare.

I usually won't spend more than $100-150 on a bottle of wine because after that price point I can't justify it. That's why I like the Chateua Leoville. Under $100 and always a good bottle. Never had a bad vintage so far.
