Three pork tamales, made by someone and fresh from the store in Questa, NM. Green Chile gravy. Refried beans with cheddar cheese. This meal does not require teeth I noticed. Make a note for future planning.

At Sabine's German restaurant in New Boston. Jagerschnitzel, German fried potatoes, homemade sauerkraut, and a Shiner Bock on the side. They are moving back to Germany in 5 weeks and the next closest German restaurant is over 150 miles away. 😭 Here 3 year old grandson was here and fussed at us in German. He was impressive.

A pot of split pea soup on the stove. Followed the Pea Soup Andersen recipe with the addition of one garlic clove. It will likely remain a little chunky since I forgot and added the 1/2 tsp of salt at the beginning, drat!

I like the split pea vegetarian. That ham bone is great with white beans or lentils. Looking forwards to a Ham this Christmas, too. On the bone, of course.

There's a hold-up with dinner tonight. I already made two side salads, but the cheeseburgers will be provided by the chef who is currently drying her hair.
