When i turned 40 2 years ago my mom wanted us to go to Korean bbq for a joint birthday party her birthday was 11/23 mine being 12/23 but covid happened and we didn't get a chance do it. We'll today being my birthday I told my da I wanted to go here and place her favorite hat next to us so she could be here in spirit. I like to belive she's up their smiling down on us as we enjoy lunch.  |

It's my favorite chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. So I wanted to make it for my birthday. Grandma had scaled down the recipe for home production and I present to you copy to enjoy at your leisure if you so choose. |

Chicken fingers medium heat, sliced carrots and celery, one big arsed chocolate chip cookie Some of the restaurants (BJ’s brewery) put a big chunk of chocolate chip cookie dough on a cast iron skillet, and just before serving put some vanilla ice cream on it. Not much of a sweet tooth here, but I feel like a hungry coyote when that is served. |

The wife brought home a total of four cookies from a local bakery they are really more like giant brownies than cookies. I don't have any ice cream on hand but that would have sent it off the charts.

Out for dinner with my wife tonight. She had chicken piccata, I had sautéed grouper with artichoke hearts, shrimp and mushrooms, served on a bed of rice pilaf.

Usual store brand frosted mini-wheats & mixed nuts earlier, getting organized for usual full brunch with the ol' gals a little after noon. I bought all the food this time, we take turns

Chinese takeout tonight. Nobody has to cook on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day will be a lot of cheese, meats, olives, spinage dip, mushroom's and similar type stuff.

Mrs. Rios Thai Kitchen tonight, we hope!
Prepping an uncured ham for tomorrow. Stud with cloves, score, maybe pineapple slices and a final glaze before finishing in the oven. A Beeler pork product. They are usually very good.
The Ex is preparing a Green Bean Casserole ala Betty Crocker, asparagus vinaigrette and yams. Wines to drink. Should be just the four of us but we shall see...

 I’ve never made a stew for people, only for dogs. Venison, potatoes, onions, bok choy, with a mix of spices I couldn’t duplicate if my life depended on it. Added some wine to the venison juice from the crockpot. Should be “interesting.” |

Usual sups-lite after big brunch, two toasted/buttered English muffins, topped with store brand chrunchy p.butter & strawberry jelly. Forgot to pick up Zweigles dawgs last trip to store, next trip will. CokeOriginal as side, back to f.ball

Tonight it’s pizza and I smoked some Shotgun Shells along with tomorrow’s ham. Never made the Shotgun Shells before and they came out pretty good!
