Went to Buca Di Beppo with the kids to celebrate Mother’s Day and my wife’s birthday which is Monday.
Really tasty bread, antipasto salad, eggplant Parmesan, Lasagna, Spicy chicken Rigatoni, chicken Limone. All of it was scrumptious, excellent service by our server.
All family style so the portions were huge… no cooking for 3 households for a day or two.

I always get a kick out of the look on a newbie's face when I tell them we’re only ordering one meatball for the whole table. 🤪

Yeah, you really need to exercise caution when ordering. I like the treatment of the interior.

It was pretty good, but it was not inexpensive, 5 adults and three young kids= $370.00 (no drinks) seems steep for Italian food, but as I said it comes in huge portions, so there is a boatload of leftovers.
I missed the old Italian restaurants with the huge pot of marinara sauce simmering, and Nonna supervising it all.

First item served is focaccia with Marinara dipping sauce. They even have VEAL on the menu. That is something seldom seen these days.

I delivered a lot of milk fed veal by Provimi back in the day, we moved a lot of it in fine dining establishments.
I searched out Costco, and there were no breaded veal Pattie’s to be found.
At some point, I am going to make a meatloaf 1/3 of each, gr. Pork, gr.beef, gr. Veal. It is suppose to make a great combo.

Lunch was the "Ring of Fire Burger" at the Wildcat's Den in Questa NM. A green chile bacon cheeseburger with their spicy sauce and lots of onions. Fries, of course. I am still perspiring!
