NY Strip- cut from a T-Bone. I keep the bone raw for the dog. Certainly miss cooking it. Steak on the bone is always best. Heinz Beanz on the side.

A rather large Cob Salad after golf today. I’m beginning to grow large whiskers and ears eating rabbit food. 😳 Funny how all the things I love isn’t good for me anymore. 😫🤮

Last night's dinner: A fun creation we call pho salad - all the goodies you'd put in a bowl of Vietnamese pho nestled on noodles tossed in pho broth concentrate and lime juice. A hot weather way to eat pho.

Holy Cow...I'm in the wrong house...all I had was half an apple and half a cup of non-fat Greek yogurt. We weren't at home. That was at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Texarkana. We had to get up early to drive 50 miles to the doctor and we were starving by 10:30am when we finally got to the restaurant. That was actually the smallest breakfast on the menu.

Well okay, Ron69, I understand now...I've thrown down a few plates at C.B. in my day too; they made me the man I am today...and that's why I'm on fruit and yogurt. As of Sunday, I'm twenty pounds lighter than I was on Ester Sunday. Only eighty more pounds to go!

As of Sunday, I'm twenty pounds lighter than I was on Ester Sunday. Only eighty more pounds to go! No Cracker Barrels in these parts. I always enjoyed them when traveling. There is only one restaurant in Taos which serves a big breakfast and that is Michael's Kitchen. There are a two other places which serve a modest breakfast. Seems that their customer base is largely skinny white women from NY or LA. LOL!

Had lunch at Taos Pizza Outback. A large slice with pepperoni, sausage, red bell pepper and both colors of olives. With it was a large salad served with focaccia. I ate every crumb. No breakfast and I am not sure if there will be supper this evening.

Every Wednesday is family dinner night with the in-laws. The person who buys chooses the restaurant. Tonight was Thai, my wife’s choice. A couple of curry dishes, Pad Thai, lettuce wraps and a few Singh Ha’s to wash it down. 🤗👍

Not sure if it is a regional issue, but I have tried to like cracker barrel, and have never been impressed. Given the choice, I would pick McDonalds.

I’ve eaten in a number of CBs, usually by the necessity of travel. I have never found them more than barely adequate. (Runny grits will not get my vote-card.) A mom-and-pop will draw me in way faster.

Thanks for the validation..."you are not a nutcase cracker barrel hater" The name of CB sounds homey, I have tried to like it, but have always been disappointed.
