What a beautiful day this is! Got in a 30-minute walk at work this morning; it helps keep me lively while sitting at my desk at work. My dog, Buddy, is much better now, but he still has to keep taking antibiotics through Sunday. I'm smoking some Carter Hall in the same Hendon billiard that I smoked this morning.

Haunted Bookshop, Monday cob and coffee, all day long. Will be out and about this evening, I'll just stick with Haunted Bookshop until I get home.

Good Morning! It's 37° here with a cloudy sky. Laundry and kitchen clean-up after breakfast are on the chore list for later on. Getting the smoking day going with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Two Star Special. Ahhh...a favorite tobacco in a favorite pipe. There's also fresh coffee in the insulated travel mug that's tucked underneath my jacket.

Keep telling myself to smoke something different from my dozens of blends, so I've put them on my desk where they'll be easy to grab and smoke.

I've been smoking a lot of 1-Q lately. It works for me when I have a cob hanging out of my mouth when I'm working in the yard.
Shook it up a bit and had some VA #1 in a no-name billiard today.

Starting my first bowl of fresh John Patton's Storm Front in a Mark Twain cob. Thanks, haebar !
This has an unbelievably uncanny resemblance in taste to very aged Prince Albert. It simply tastes like a slightly fresher version of 1970's Prince Albert! It's supposed to have cigar leaf in it but I taste none! Tastes like cocoa and molasses cased white and dark burley but it's very tasty, though plain and codgerly. A perfect cob smoke. I'd definitely keep some on hand for cob smoking simple smoking.

Tonight I am smoking Smokies Smoke-Ease from the Gatlin-burlier smoke shop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Smoking it in a Cayuga oil-cured Rhodesian from Paul's Pipe Shop in Flint, Michigan.
From the Gatlin-burlier website:
Smokies-Smoke-Ease
A tangy combination of Turkish & Latakia. A natural woodsy taste.

Smoking Solani Virginia Flake from 2015 in a Peterson Kapp Royal 80s.
The best part… in a smoking friendly hotel that has incredible filtration, Kingman Az.
They really go all out to support the smoker… Best Western.
