Morning all. Heading off to the golf course with PS Luxury Navy Flake (never could understand why it’s called “luxury”) and C&D’s Night Train to keep me company. Hope you’re all having a great day. 👋👍

I’ve got the day off work to recover from the Chicago Show and am relaxing with some 2016 SH Our Best Blend in my Jason Patrick Billiard. I had never heard of Jason before Thursday night in Chicago. After looking at his work and then inspecting one of his pipes which a friend had bought, I ended up buying this one one Friday morning. This is my fifth bowl through it so far and I can say that it’s a great pipe and Jason is a carver to watch. He started carving in 2019 and this is pipe #303 for him. It's beautiful, well made, comfortable to clench, and has perfect airflow. I like that he does a nice gradual funnel 1” deep. Check out Jason Patrick Pipes on Facebook to see more of his work. He ended up selling 14 out of 15 pipes which he brought and the last one sold right after the show.

First smoke in a calabash that I just finished fixing up. I posted the process in my meerschaum rehab thread. The tobacco is Peter Heinrich’s Dark Strong Flake.

Friar's Bayou in the Tuesday cob. Lazy day today. About all I did was do some very preliminary work on a briar block. Gotta take the trash and recycling bins to the curb.

First was SPC Mississippi Bourbon barrel aged in smooth Meerschaum bent sitter then the end of a jar of Nightcap in sandblasted bent Barlings. Also found my fence pliers where I lost them a few months ago on the ground, also a few days ago I found a pocket knife in a sweatshirt I thought I had lost. Feeling much better loosing things can be extremely bothersome.
