Very much so. We tried every which way to get that darn thing into the house. I don't know how the furniture store delivery people do it. Based on recent experience, they scratch the heck out of it trying to force it through the door, then take it back and return it to the mfg. That was an appliance, though. I worked a couple summers doing furniture and appliance delivery (and repossession). Those folks work for a living. |

I worked a couple summers doing furniture and appliance delivery (and repossession). Those folks work for a living. I was able to buy a refrigerator cheap… 1/4 the cost when new, because some gorillas mangled the handles putting a fridge through a narrow doorway. I found the part numbers and ordered the handles from a guy that parted out wrecked freight in Kansas. $50, got me the new handles…. I however, installed them after the fridge was in place. |

Good Morning! It's 51° with a clear, starry sky out here on the deck. I'm not very good at sleeping on my back, so I wake up every couple of hours. I decided to take my walker for a spin and have a pipe. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Dunhill Lovat. Catch y'all later. I'm up at this hour every night. Good Morning, Good Morning! It's 48° with the usual early cloudiness out here on the deck. This afternoon a physical therapist is coming by to work with me and I'll start exercising as well as start walking around the house with my walker on a regular basis. The first pipe of the smoking day is Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Dunhill Lovat and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. Have a good, safe one, everybody!

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob and coffee on the front porch. Expecting another round of rain this afternoon and evening ahead of a dry spell. Going on a Costco run with my wife, otherwise, taking it easy.

Great to have you home, Russ...I'm smoking my Lion and Lamb mix in a slender little billiard, marked MASTA over Patent Standard, coffee on the side. And it's great to be home. Since I'm able to motor around with my walker, I was denied rehab in a skilled nursing facility by both the Veterans Administration and Social Security. Apparently, I would have to be near death in order to qualify! My next challenge is to be able to get into bed without my wife's help, but that would require more strength in my left leg and the hip muscles where I had the surgery. Home cooking, the company of my loving wife and our cat, and the ability to sit outside while enjoying a pipe....yes, Herb, it's good to be home. |

I took an oxycodone pill earlier to help with my leg and hip pain from doing leg exercises, walking around the house, and getting into bed on my own. The oxycodone is making me drowsy and I had to stop reading, but I'll finish up this pipe and then go plop in my chair. I smoked the last of my Wessex Brown VA Flake and now I'm smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Dunhill Lovat and there's a plastic mugga cold water on the side.
