Good Morning! It's 65° with a partly cloudy sky here at dawn. My occupational therapist came by yesterday afternoon to make sure that I can get in and out of the shower without any problems and I resumed my kitchen cleaner duty last night. Slowly getting back to my old routine. The first pipe of the day is a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Peterson Rosslare 106 and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Let's start the weekend!

Out on the porch this morning, with a bowl of Porch Mix in the Kristi Freehand, Coffee on the side table. The better half has gone to Brother in Law's garden, to pick green-beans, tomatoes and summer squash...if you can't have a garden, you should have in-laws with a garden. I'm off to load the dishwasher with mason jars, and prep the worktable for " The snaping of the beans ".

Good Morning Again! It's 70°, breezy, and a mix of clouds and sunshine out here on the deck. This afternoon looks like another hot one and a thunderstorm is on the way as well. Just lit up a bowl of Peterson Flake in the Mark Twain cob and there's a second travel mugga coffee on the deck table. Time to read my book.

Sounds wonderful Russ! Make sure you have an extra bowl for me please. Darn dental surgery…going without for a few days.

Forest fire smoke from Canadia and E Stokkebye Night Slice, the latter in a long MM Eaton. It's like Newminster 403 without the bitey part when fresh. Fizzy water with orange bitters and a slice of lime on the side. taiguy66 I need a molar pulled and I'm not looking forward to putting down the pipe. Of course I smoked cigarettes starting a couple hours after having my wisdom teeth extracted at 20yo. I must have lacked wisdom at that age.

Happy Friday, all! It's warm, humid and sunny in my part of the world. Some rain expected later this afternoon. Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Friday cob and coffee on the front porch. I'll be moving to the back deck to be closer to today's chores.

I’ve wondered about the Night Slice, good to hear something about it and now I’m wondering less, I’ve got plenty of 403. When I first saw it available, I thought that would have been a great title for a 1980’s slasher film. “Night Slice” A new vision of terror starring a bunch of people no one will ever see again and one person who will make it big in acting in about ten years. Coming soon to theaters. I’m smoking GH Dark Bird’s Eye in a TV churchwarden for a quick smoke. A lot going on today and I have the feeling I won’t be able to squeeze many in.

The Night Slice is good: the dark fired is maybe a touch less than 403, it has a pleasant sweetness, and it's very well behaved. I like whatever topping the 403 has (honey and ?), but it nips me until it has a couple years in the jar. I was thinking after-hours pizzeria. "Closing time. Wanna grab a slice on the way home?" Now it is the bottom half of some GLP Windjammer in a Grabow. I'll see your DGT and raise you Forgot It in the Garage Where I Left it Tuesday. FIGWILT.

Took a cue from Goldbrick and tried my own spill tray mix in the London billiard. Mostly OGS with some Missouri Pride and a bit of Presbyterian. An interesting mix that made for an enjoyable smoke. Happy Friday all!

Last couple of days I have been alternating between two C&D blends: Bayou Morning, a good old straightforward VaPer with plenty of perique (I have to be careful not to binge on it or the nicotine seems to get to me) and Super Balkan, a very nice stout Balkan blend, though Mountain Camp remains my favorite in that line.

The Beast in a GBD Lumberman.
I do not think it has a crazy amount of Perique, quite moderate in my books.

Last night smoked some 2021 C&D Miskatonic Mixture in a 5th Ave Let Freedom Ring cob.
Tonight I started with some 2019 Watch City 558 in a Kaywoodie Saxon sandblasted panel billiard. Sure hope the guy from Kaywoodie is doing alright, I saw a thread mention that he was in a come with Legionaire’s Disease.

Planta Danish Black Vanilla.
Roman Catholic with Byzantine Catholic friends. Brother from the same Mother of sorts with ya (Greek Orthodox I suppose?!?)
Greeks first of all are Greeks, then baptized as Orthodox. My ancestors from fathers side were for thousand of years Greek Byzantines, keep in mind that a Greek from Megara outside Attica with a name Byzandas created at 687 BC a small city and named this as Byzantion (Byzantium in english).
Here is a coin from that era, centuries later others copy our symbols.
