How's the hip this morning, Russ? I just got up and your still awake? Yup. I’m about to go to bed though.

How's the hip this morning, Russ? It's still slow going for now and thanks for asking, Urb. There are some exercises that I do while seated in order to strengthen the muscles that were cut during the surgery on my left hip. From my experience with having my right hip replaced a number of years, the first two weeks are the toughest but I don't have any real pain because of the meds that I take. My physical therapist is going to come in during the upcoming week and start putting me through my next set of exercises. I'm still out on the deck and finishing another bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Sav smooth billiard and there's some coffee left in the travel mug. I'll head back inside for a nap when I wrap it up here.

Hope all are doing well. Been extremely busy work lately but I've been managing to get in pipes, reading, and gardening.
I opened my first tin of 2021 C&D Miskatonic Mixture last weekend and I've been smoking quite a bit of that in cobs, going to smoke some in briars today. It's a nice Katerini Oriental and red Virginia forward mild smoke with a bit of perique and unsweetened black cavendish in the mix as well. Makes for a nice flavorful yardwork smoke for me that's a great all day smoke. I've been mostly smoking that the past week when I've gotten time to smoke at all. I think I'll smoke some 2020 Gawith Hoggarth's Brown Flake Licorice this morning out gardening. Lots of weeds to pull and tomato plants pushing over waist high that need the undercarriage leaves and suckers pruned off.

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee on the back deck. Sunny and in the low 70s with a breeze off the lake here. The lawn is calling me.

2014 Crown Achievement in my Erik Nielsen bent Bulldog. It was really interesting when that blend was resurrected, how the old recipe was found, the same tinning machine was found. It really is a good smoke, but sad to see it discontinued again. I bought quite a bit of that, cellared away. When the re-release first came out, I didn’t care for it fresh. However, a friend gave me some to try after it had a couple years of age and I thought it was fantastic. Unfortunately, when it was silently discontinued after the Lane plane in Georgia closed, I didn’t find out it was discontinued until at least a year later. Luckily, I still have 16 or so tins left in the cellar and it’s Ben turning up a bit at pipe shows for reasonable aftermarket prices.

The lawn's mowed. The pots, baskets and garden boxes watered. Had some Friar's Bayou during that time. Eating a little lunch. When that's done, I'll have some 5 Brothers in the Saturday cob.

Good Afternoon! It's 74° with , white clouds sailing along and bright sunshine out here on the deck. I woke up from my nap earlier, did a new leg exercise, and now I'll enjoy the rest of the day in this beautiful weather. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Sav smooth billiard and there's a plastic mugga ice water on the side. Time to call a friend and then read my book. Have a great night, everybody!

Good Sunday Morning! It's 52° with a mostly clear sky out here on the deck before first light. The neighborhood is quiet except for the chirping and calling of the birds. Just the usual exercise, nap, reading, and smoking for today. Starting off with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Amorelli Three Star and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee tucked underneath my jacket. A peaceful day to you all!

Good Afternoon! It's 75° with a clear sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Nice. I just placed my monthly tobacco order, so I should receive it by Wednesday. Currently smoking a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Amorelli and there's stale, tepid coffee left in the travel mug.

Well, I just lit a bowl of GLP Embarcadero on the patio, and now there's thunder rumbling. If I actually get to smoke much of it, it'll be in this Chacom cooper:
