Nice pipe. The diamond shank and saddle stem are a nice combination. Looks like it's got some thick walls on it, too. It does but I cannot, for the life of me, find any provenance or history on delchester pipes... I'm no help there, unfortunately.

Late in posting, but had some Billy Budd in the London Billiard split between the morning and afternoon as I slowly drained my mug of coffee throughout the day. BB has a tin note like a fire in a tire store, and has an interesting spicy and phenolic mouth effect to me, but I've really enjoyed it. Reminds me strongly of Lapsang Souchong tea which I really dig. What are your thoughts on Billy Budd, turbocat?

Popped open a jar of some Haunted Bookshop that I pressed into cakes back in January. Smoking my second bowl of this. Really nice. A little richer than it's original state. I'm gonna have to make more.

Good Morning! It's 65° with a cloudy sky at dawn out here on the deck. Today my physical therapist will be here and we'll probably go outside for a walk. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall Dublin and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the deck table. Have a good one, everybody!

My own Lion and Lamb mixture in a Savinelli Estella 616ks, with my first coffee. It's raining here, this morning, and the entire household overslept, and missed Buster's appointment for bath and nails...now the little guy will have to wait another week.
I feel so bad about it, that I'm going to let him smoke one of my other Estellas with his favorite blend, " K-9 ".

Good Late Morning, Gentlemen! It's 76° with high, wispy clouds and bright sunshine out here on the deck. I'm looking forward to another walk with the physical therapist because, once that she thinks I'm ready, I can take a walk using my walker without supervision. That will mean that I can start spending time in the workshop if it should be raining outside. Anyway, I'm currently smoking a bowl of Peterson Flake in the Upshall Dublin and there's a second travel mugga coffee on the side.

Mornin' ... 2010 McClelland Blackwoods Flake in a J. Everett Billiard with black coffee to drink. Blackwoods Flake...Oh, how I loved that stuff. It's a great smoke but my taste for Va's has really waned over the years. The rest of this batch would probably feel more appreciated from a true fan. PM incoming! 🙂

I often enjoy blends with cigar leaf in them later in the evening when my sense of taste and smell is waning. Billy Budd fits that category well for me. I also detect a slightly sweet casing in it that I haven’t yet been able to identify. It’s very subtle but works great at bringing the tobacco flavors together. That’s the only thing subtle about Billy Budd. It’s satisfactorily complex and stays that way throughout the bowl. The bottom of the bowl can get pretty ashy tasting but that doesn’t bother me. I can smoke it repeatedly and still enjoy it too. I had three bowls back to back last night. Also I’ve found that wide bowls are a plus for it and I prefer it in a gourd calabash. Good stuff!

Good Afternoon! It's 82° with bright sunshine, large, white clouds sailing along, and a cool, light breeze blowing out here on the deck. Currently smoking a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Upshall Dublin and there's a plastic mugga ice water on the side. Time to get back to my book. Have a great night, everybody!

Home from golf. Felt like I was swinging like buddy below but I ham and egged it enough to win money and cover off lunch. Mississippi River and Autumn Evening to keep me company on a wet day. I used to work with a guy who made more money playing golf. He was old enough to be retired so I don't know why he was working in printing, but he only stayed about 6 months. He worked the night shift with me and played golf every morning He had a red Cadillac convertible with white top and interior, red golf cart and trailer with white seats and top, red and white golf bag and red and white grips. He wore red slacks and a white golf shirt every day. We thought he was nuts until he said that if he only won $300 it was a bad day. This was in the late 70s. Go figure.
