Nice looking pipe, stand, lighter, tamper, and Pelikan. You're a man of good taste. Thanks! Good eyes! I was wondering if there were any pen aficionados here... Hard to mistake that Pelikan M-series look for something else. Is that one a fountain pen or a rollerball?

Good Evening! It's a more comfortable 82° with pale blue sky and high wispy clouds out here on the deck as the sun is setting. I recorded and was watching a good PBS program about Frank Lloyd Wright but wanted to sit outside and have a pipe. A cool front is going to pass through over the weekend and the temperatures will become pleasant. I just lit up a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Dunhill Lovat and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Have a good night, everybody!

I'm having some more Hal O' The Wynd, this time in the Friday cob. On the deck, with a beer and a pour of Basil Hayden Dark Rye. Listening to the birds and taking in the summer evening.

A fountain, medium nib that I had tweaked by The Nib Grinder, inked with Jaques Herbin Bleu des Profondeurs, Writes like a dream!

The last bowl of the evening finds me with my Peterson packed with Peterson Nightcap while I sip some 8 year old Lagavulin. I'm afraid that someone sneaked in here and overfilled my glencairn while I wasn't looking...

Eccentric in a Stanwell Hans Christian Andersen with the churchwarden stem installed. I got it today and just finished cleaning it up and getting it ready for a smoke. If I’m going to smoke briar pipes occasionally, I think I need to bone up on their care. I wiped off this pipe the way I would any meerschaum that I got and succeeded in removing most of the stain off of the pipe. Might be a good thing though, I thought it was stained a little dark for my tastes.

Just a note: I am gonna get a little personal here, but I am working on my addiction recovery so I will be limiting how often I smoke and eliminating some other things. I want to be active here, just may be moreso on the repairs, crafts, and hobbies side. Just a heads up. Today is beautiful and heading into work now. There were "things" that I gave up long ago that I don't really talk about to anybody. I believe I have what is called an addictive personality and if I can do it, you can too. Whishing all the best for you.

Works great on meerschaum, cleans nicely without disturbing the wax finish for a light cleaning. Obviously not the thing to use on some briar pipes.

Good Saturday Morning! It's 63° with a cloudy sky here at first light. Today I have to reinstall a shelf that I made for my wife in her sewing room. I have new sheetrock mounts that open up behind the wall when a screw is inserted so I'm hoping that it works. Beginning the smoking day with a bowl of Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Don Carlos Two Note and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Have a great weekend, everybody!

Good Morning Again! It's 72° with a clear sky, bright sunshine, and is quiet out here on the deck. I tried taking a nap, but my brain was cluttered with a jumble of odd thoughts and so I decided to come out and continue my pipe time and reading. I just lit up a bowl of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in the Kaywoodie Relief Grain apple. I haven't smoked this pipe in ages, it's a good smoker, and is still fitted with the original stinger.
