Good Afternoon! It's 85° with the usual clear sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. Our landlord was whizzing around the yard cutting the grass with his big commercial ride-on mower. The noise was expected, but I was barraged by small bits of grass that blew up onto the deck. Currently smoking a pre-lunch bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Don Carlos and there's a glass of ice water on the side.

Good Afternoon Again! It's 89°, and breezy out here on the deck as big,  , white clouds are sailing across the sky. A cool front is moving into the region and this heat dome will finally shove off bringing cooler temperatures next week. Currently smoking a bowl of aged Limerick VA Flake in the Don Carlos and there's a glass of cold water on the side. Time to read my book. Have a great night, everybody! |

Hello, i should post that photo few months ago but at that time he wad a terrible train accident here in Greece with 57 deceased so it wasn't properly. I found it today, this is a special dinner for a feast that we call it here ''Clean Monday'' and it's the last day of Carnival, always Monday and 48 days before Easter.   1) Lagana (unleavened bread, we make it only for this feast) 2) Red wine (others drink beer, retsina etc) 3) Fried squid 4) Beans in sauce 5) Beets 6) Split peas 7) Dolmas (Vine leaves with rice) 8) Eggplant salad 9) Fish roe salad 10) Octopus in sauce 11) Salt & Pepper 12) Lemon (not visible) 13) Ηalvah (not visible) I am smoking Danske Club White Luxury. Looks like something which would bring the Gods to earth, to eat, drink wine and dance with mortals. Long live Greece! |

Good Sunday Morning! It's 56° here with a clear sky at first light, the big "strawberry moon" has just set, and one of the workshop doors is wide open. Today I have to gas up the car, get my post-op pain meds from the pharmacy, and then head on over to the supermarket. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of Peterson Flake in a Savinelli Venere 128 and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Have a good, relaxing day, everybody!  |

Good Afternoon! It's 76°, breezy with the same high haziness in the sky and bright sunshine out here on the deck. I'm through reading for now and just sitting and enjoying the quiet of the day. No power tool or landscaping equipment sounds, only the chirping and calling of the birds...Nice. After brunch I'll make my rounds but, until then, I'm smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Sav smooth billiard and there's still some coffee left in the travel mug. Time to scan the headline news.

Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee on the backyard deck. Been doing a little,light yardwork. Emphasis on little. Will eventually ruin the quiet with the lawnmower.just not, yet. I'll let everyone enjoy the peace for a while longer.

Good Evening! It's 82° with a clear sky and hazy sunshine out here on the deck. Well, my errands were a disaster. Unexpected out-of-pocket prescriptions at the pharmacy. The supermarket was worse. No red delicious apples, no bosc pears, no fresh string beans, and the avocados just turned to mush when I gave them a light squeeze. That's okay. I'm home and sitting under the deck umbrella, my wife is keeping me company, and I'm smoking a pipe... Wessex Brown VA Flake in the Sav smooth billiard and there's a bottle of cold water on the side. A good end to the day and I really have nothing to complain about. Have a great night, everybody!

Exhausted Rooster in a self-made, rusticated Dublin on the back deck. Very comfortable - sunny and 73 degrees. We're going have a stretch of cooler weather after several days in the upper 80s.
