Also I have an appt with my PCP today to review imaging results and set up referral for additional imaging.

Glad they're making things happen, Pete. Sometimes that can be a little alarming at first, but sooner beats later.

I coulda saved you some money on that brain scan, but too late now...I will, however, take a look at the old hardware in my garage, and see if I can find something to fix that back of yours...

My first MRI for my left shoulder (Industrial injury) was in a tube that had me feeling like a tinned sardine, shoulders barely touched the sidewalls if I did my part, my nose almost touched the top of the tube....this claustrophobic cat was cagey to say the least...that sucked!
Second MRI for the other shoulder (industrial injury) I was asked about being claustrophobic...they sent me to where the Arizona Cardinals football players went, more of an "open unit"...ask questions, explore options...it makes quite a difference.
Kinda late advice for Pete, might help others.

Second MRI for the other shoulder (industrial injury) I was asked about being claustrophobic...they sent me to where the Arizona Cardinals football players went, more of an "open unit"...ask questions, explore options...it makes quite a difference. Kinda late advice for Pete, might help others. Before my last MRI, they asked me if I wanted an open MRI...I figured it was for fat guys, so I sed yes. when I got to the hospital, they took me by the arm and gently put me down on a table, put on soft music, and told me to concentrate on the sky colored ceiling I thought they were nutty. The machine started at my feet and when it got to my gut, it stopped dead..." you'll have to make a future appointment at our office with a WIDE table unit". I had waited six months for this appointment..."I thought wide MRI was a fat guy thing...can't you just ram me in, like a musket ball in a black powder rifle?" I asked...I walked out and never went back, but my pain was far below Pete's level! Open MRI units are for folks that have an issue with tight spaces, not big boys like me.

MRI (regular) wasn't bad, but I've had a bunch of MRI's over the years. Getting up off the table was no bueno with the fractured vertebra.
Lymph node biopsy on Monday, PET Scan Thursday. Moving right along

ok, second night in a row I actually slept well. Still on the couch (can't lie down flat) but 2 nights of 8 hours+ is a welcome change.
