Bone biopsy wasn’t bad at all, good meds. Now it’s 5am and I’m awake and waiting to find out when they are doing the spine surgery this morning.
First time having surgery for me, just a touch of anxiety due to that. Will update when possible

First time having surgery for me, just a touch of anxiety due to that. Will update when possible I've been through surgery lots of times. Most of the time it's not awful. Just sleep and take the good pills. The day I had my kidney removed was November 8, 2016. I was laughing and screaming in pain at the same time. Upset the nurses. Don't watch election returns after surgery. |

Heads up guys and gals. I just got a call from Pete, and in true Darktater fashion, he was upbeat, and wanted all of to know he's okay, and things went fine. He said he's walked around his room, just a bit, with the aid of the P.T.staff, and that his pain level was fairly low.
Even in his strained voice I could hear his good sprit shining through, and I think it speaks well of our forum that his internet family was among his first concerns.
He assured me he'd try to eat something when his wife, Jackie, got there, and I wished him a good, peaceful night's sleep.
Please join me, as I send thanks for today, prayers for the future, and clouds of thick, white smoke for our friend Pete.

Glad to hear he is up and around! First surgery, those are rookie numbers. I just passed double digits. Smokes to no more for either of us.

Awake next day. Yesterday after surgery back felt a bit better and I got some decent sleep. This morning is definitely a party, feeling all the work they did fusing those vertebrae. Should be a great day

Good news, little side note when I had my last stent, when they put me under I was looking up, reminded me of a helicopter and a quick dust off back in the day, woke up wondering if we had made it. Strange how the mind works.

Congrats on getting home. Coffee is part of the healing process, but you might not be allowed to smoke, so I'll double up today just to keep us on track.
The ride home will likely be unpleasant, but when your home, it'll be worth it!
