made it through the PET Scan, though getting up of the table caused as bad a pain as I have every experienced. Fortunately it doesn't last long...

I should only have to do it once more before the kyphoplasty, that's for the spinal MRI next Friday. |

You are making me feel blessed on how well my body still moves and functions. I am not in the best physical condition but headed in the right direction. I needed a good reminder to be thankful for where I am at. Hope all goes well on your next appointment.

I know that lying on a flat for an exam is quite painful. With my spinal arthritis and stenosis, I can only put up with it for a short time myself before I have to stop and get off of the table. All of the best for the successful treatment, Pete.

It's returning to vertical, and in doing so moving the fractured vertebra against itself, that gets me... |

I was crammed into the machine and I didn't get the support under my knees I should have had. I had to have 2 techs to help me get off the torture device. Some techs just don't care. I broke my heel in 88 and the tech kept dropping my leg on my broken heel. We're keeping you in our prayers as you go through this journey. I have to go in for a 7 year follow up from my kidney cancer in 2016. It gets better. |

ok, saw the Radiation Oncologist today. Starting Monday I'll get daily treatments M-F for two weeks to get the lesions in T7 and T9. Had the 'simulation' run today (CT Scan) so they could calibrate aiming markers.
I did get to look at most of the PET scan images. Unfortunately, much more metastases in the bones that I expected. So we don't seem to have caught it as early as hoped. It is what it is, at least we are starting treatment and we will see how it goes.

ok, woke up this morning and it seems getting off the CT scanner yesterday might have made the vertebra worse. Feeling some weakness in my legs, we are getting ready to head to the ER as directed if this happened.

Not in the ER now, they admitted me to the oncology section. Just a a spinal MRI so they can decide how best to fix my back. Then I will also be having 1 or 2 more biopsies so they can figure out what type of cancer. I’ll be checking even though I won’t be enjoying a pipe for a little while

Thanks guys. Biopsy scheduled for tomorrow and will meet with neurosurgeon tomorrow to get that plan. Things are moving forward, I’ll just be here a while longer.
