Happy Monday, all! Started the day with a couple bowls of Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee on the front porch. 65, overcast and breezy here. We may, or may not, get a little more rain today. It's only supposed to get up to about 70 today. Off and on, light to moderate rain most of the afternoon and evening yesterday means I don't have to water the garden today. I'll probably do some housekeeping in the cave and workshop.

My waste-not mix in a Molina apple, one of a matched pair the wife found in a Thompson Cigar catalog. Both stained in dark walnut, with an almost black top-coat over a right fair sandblast...one smooth rimmed, and one blasted rim. They've been sitting around here for years, it's time they earned there keep.

Finally getting going after a useless attempt at ordering something online without aid of a human voice to tell me what buttons to push & in what order. Finally gave up & did it all via phone.
CAO 6x42 way earlier during now shorter walks. Now at desk, Wilke #622, SerJac Maxima & a CokeClassic.
81, clear earlier, now clouding up for 90% predicted rain
Ed-zzz time soon

Had a bowl of Friar's Bayou and Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and a self-made billiard while taking care of some housekeeping in the cave this afternoon. Dinner is simmering in the kitchen, and I'm having some Riverboat Gambler in a Caminetto pot.

...taking care of some housekeeping in the cave this afternoon. You're making me feel bad, Pete. I keep thinking about sweeping out and vacuuming the workshop. And I keep putting it off.

Union square in the claw meer. That is a great smoke, and I believe does not get the attention deserved. Sittin on tins with age, if you want to do a comparison, give me a jingle.

Good Morning! It's 60° with a partly cloudy sky here in our neighborhood. I had problems sleeping so I'm up early, but I'll nap later on. This afternoon I'm getting together with a pipe smoker friend from Cleveland and we'll meet up at a tobacco shop in Akron halfway between our hometowns. Starting the smoking day with a bowl of well-aged FVF in the Savinelli Venere 128 smooth billiard and there's a fresh travel mugga coffee on the tobacco table. Have a good one, everybody!

I smoked some 2021 Haunted Bookshop in a Mark Twain cob last night. Looking forward to getting home from work and smoking some Warped Midsommar in a 1970-71 Dr Grabow Crown Duke small apple.
With all the constant complaints about heat this summer, we’ve had the mildest summer in Indiana in at least the past five years. We never got above 92 in July or August. 92 was the hottest high we hit, we averaged no higher than 86 the whole summer! The last few years by this time we’d hit multiple days ranging from 95-99.

We've had a similar summer here, too, Zach. Very warm, with a wet July. Only one or two days in the low 90s. Even got a taste of late September yesterday. Only got up to 70. With the consistent Temps and rain, everything's growing like a weed. Especially the weeds! On topic - Silver Strike in the Tuesday cob. While weeding and tidying the backyard.
