I know the people. Same people who have the local pizza joint. We'll just talk, but they need to hear the truth. After 9 months in the new business, the food shouldn't be getting worse. Wife and I ordered the same plate, each had different sides, neither was as the menu.

Was infamous "Ed" version of a cheeseburg, cup of bulk corn as side. Now that game #2 has started, store brand ice cream cone. Now keeping thermostat at 70 all the time, saves changing at night, seems another age-related doing
Ed-managing somehow

How are you and your dad doing? I have my highs and lows today was a bit of a low but I forced my self to get out and run errands/cook/bathe. My dads doing ok he went on a vacation that he had booked for him and my mom to go before my mom got sick. He had mixed feelings about going on it but they said in grief consoling to go do things that your friend/family member would have done in their memory. Like i told him it was already paid for no sense in letting the money go to waste. So hes with my Aunt on a panama canal cruise while I pet sit his dog. Wendy (the dog) is a driving me nuts seems she wants out every 5 minutes. I got my cat over here or I would just leave the back door open. Since I couldnt go on the cruise to not being able to take time off were looking on going to the Las Vegas Pipe show in October to make up for it. I hope that works out.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, refritos and red chile in a breakfast burrito.
In the oven, pork country ribs and apples stewing. Later the Sauerkraut will be added. Perfect cold day meal.
Then I got the word to report to Mrs Rios Thai Kitchen this evening. That works, too. The pork can rest until tomorrow and be just great.

I have made pinto beans with ham hocks for years, a staple with my family growing up. This recipe is a game changer though. A few things I did different: 1. Pinto beans are fine, but I had some Anasazi beans I picked up in Cortez Colorado, they are deeelishous! 2. Rather than soak overnight, I bring the beans to a boil, cover and turn off the burner, let sit for an hour… same result. 3. No ham hocks at Albertsons or Kroger, rinsed a 12 oz. Cube of salt pork, diced and slowly browned to added to cooking the beans in step#2 (and cut back on the salt in the recipe...you can always add more, but you cannot take it out)A bit more work, but it pays big dividends, even though it takes a bit more time, very rewarding. www.recipething.com/recipes/show/91443-mexican-stewed-beans-with-salsa-fresca?Sofrito

I do not know WTF is up with Albertsons and Kroeger. They stopped carrying ham hocks and ham shanks. I have to go to a family owned market to get them. They sure work magic with a pot of beans.
