pizza last night...supermarket crust and sauce, ground venison, peppers, onions, green olives, and four cheese...best pizza all year! What herbs did you use on it? You might say " Herb's Herbs "...every year, at Christmas, I put together a spice blend for the prime rib, then I inventory the spice cabinet and all the bottles that are running low, I remix for different dishes. I have a lemon pepper base, with garlic and a dash of red pepper for fried chicken, a sweet bar-b -que rum with onion and garlic powder for potato wedges , grilled chicken and sometimes pork. I also have a mix that's fool-proof for pasta, soup, and even eggs if you don't get to heavy handed. Pizza gets very little seasoning if any, as all that cheese equals plenty of salt. I didn't miss the pun

Yearly, the Jewish nutritional center in SF was mandated by their faith to dump all of the stuff...Pretty sure the Rabbi made his rounds on inspection. They boxed them up and gave them to me, I handed them off to a soup kitchen right down the road.
Every once in awhile, I run across some spices that have lost their savor.

Chicken stuffed with cream cheese and green onions then wrapped in bacon to disguise the chicken. Corn with lots of colorful bell pepper. A nice big chunk of artesian bread.

Decided on lg piece breaded chicken bake, 1-cup store brand bulk corn & a few sweet taters mixed in nuke. To usual 6pm newsfeeds, later p.butter cookies & tea, store brand. Only a few "name" brand items I buy only cause no store brand, quite a bit cheaper.

I went to Jennie’s house, a patient… her and her three sisters are always a hoot. They are all on the backside of 80, but they are always talkative, and the collective wisdom is always well received.
They insisted that I take a plate, enchiladas, refried beans, Churro’s, and a Mexican salad, fresh Horchata.
I left with 4 lbs of food and these gals have many moons of cooking under their belt… most excellent!
It worked out well, the hotel restaurant in Douglas is closed for maintenance.

I made up 90 all beef, little smokies, with a pickle jalapeño, wrapped in bacon with brown sugar on top. Baked in the convection oven for about 45 minutes. These could be dangerous for someone with a heart condition.😉
