I enjoy my job, but I am ready to be retired. I actually enjoyed my job too. I had to retire because of health reasons, which have now passed, but it's too late. I really liked the people I worked with and I miss some of them terribly. I am still invited to the parties and I'm welcome to wander in any time, but it's too close to Houston.

Made it back home, ate the last of the beans… still tasted great, but as all big pots of anything, time to move on. Had a wonderful breakfast near Tombstone in Benson Az. At the horseshoe cafe. The biscuit is larger than it seems… huge and perfect, gravy perfection… with “cowboy scramble”. Old school place with old school waitresses. imgur.com/a/cCtBiXo

Not unusual to lump 1,000 to 2,000 pounds of dialysis solution in a home.

I enjoy my job, but I am ready to be retired. I find I enjoy mine less and less. I had lot of hard years but I worked with great people for 20 years at the last company. The last year, with a few million dollars in technology, I had things automated to the point that I could get my work done in a 40 hour week, most weeks. And I didn't hate to go to work for those last 20 years and I enjoyed the people and the integrity of the company. I suggest that you look at your life very closely. I took a chance several times leaving jobs I hated, but I finally ended up with the job I deserved. There is something better out there for you, I believe.

I still enjoy my work. I only work 4 days a week, only 1-2 nights away from home on a week. 4 weeks of vacation awarded on my first day of work, 11 paid holidays, great culture at the company, and most patients are generous in food, tips, and other ways. I have a free stay at a multimillion dollar ranch in Cortez at anytime I want… they are appreciative of what I do, and fellow employees are true team members.
But I know that at some point, it will be nice to let the sunrise be my alarm.

Still a good place to work, but the size has tripled and most of the people I worked with are no longer there. Different culture. Like the saying, "you can't go home again".

Supper was a thick slab of Cabot Vermont White Cheddar between to halves of a baguette from the bakery in town. No need for condiments. Fresh bread that day which is always nice. tangerines and that local bakery's peanut butter cookie which are the best in town.
