You complaining about 50°? That’s disgusting. Hey… I am a desert rat… be nice to desert rats!

Can't complain about my UPS DRIVERS or FEDX, tracking sometimes is a little screwy but the guys on the trucks are a hard working bunch, they like my farm driveways, gave them permission to do their paper work on one, FEDX driver even wanted to give me a Belgian Malamute he couldn't keep.

Snow rat? Ha! A good one. I’m raggin ya Charlie. I’m a displaced desert rodent myself. But good grief! Complaining about 50°? It boggles the mind considering what so many of us are going thru right now.(Don’t any over zealous mods get the wrong idea. This is a non-fight among friends about freezing vs. enjoying the weather.) 😋

Oh, now they've updated our low tonight to 3. Congratulations? Even I may not be dumb enough to go out in that and smoke. At 6 degrees, it's cute. At 3 degrees, it's just gauche.

17 this morning warming up to 28 for sundown. The Moore Maker knife made it here after two weeks of meandering through the postal system. The Gooloo jump starter appears to be making the same insane routing it made to the post office down the street only to be shipped to gosh knows where before making it back to the local post office down the street. USPS affirmative action hiring at its best in action.
What in gods name makes you think this is an appropriate thing to say in here? Has the train truly gone off the rails in this place that we can't even have common decency?

What is not decent is pulling the race card when nothing was said about race, gender or skin color. Rather pointing out that when people are passed over because they are more qualified to promote the unqualified is reverse racism and discrimination in its lowest form. That my good man is the definition of insanity.

I'm not going to sit here and argue with any of you. The fact that affirmative action was the only hiring process mentioned is a blatant racist comment as the perceived definition is pretty standard. To be factual, the USPS doesn't have an "affirmative action" hiring program. They do however employ the following hiring programs: Veterans Employment Program, Employment of Individuals with Disabilities Program, and Affirmative Employment Program, which includes the National Hispanic Program, National Women's Program, and Special Emphasis Program. about.usps.com/strategic-planning/cs02/1a5.htmSo, is your implication that all of these groups are hindering your postal service experience... including women, veterans, and people with disabilities? The implication that affirmative action by default passes over people who are more qualified to promote the unqualified is racist. Plain and simple. You can tiptoe around it all you want, but better to just be honest with yourself. In the future... if you can't say something nice AND factual... don't say anything at all.

We're up to 30, here. Not quite warm enough for the water in the pipes to really care, but at least it's less uncomfortable out there.

44 degrees in the swamp so we are thawing out. Ups stopped by doing their investigation for a package delivered to the wrong address. Thankfully we have the picture showing the package at the wrong address. Checked on my new espresso machine making a tour of all USPS locations in the greater Boston area. The GOOLOO jump starter is lost in the greater Houston area making its very own journey through the USPS run by the most qualified employees. Had a lot of fun reading the USPS hiring guidelines posted by Justin and lost count of how many times affirmative is mentioned. Read the about.usps.com/handbooks/el312/apxe.htm Read the line 2 The addition of either 5 or 10 points to scores on competitive entrance examinations. Came to the realization that I am racist for pointing that out and owe everyone an apology. Everyone have the best day you can!!

Got out and swept/scraped all the snow off the truck while the sun was still up. Windows, windshield, mirrors, and hood all cleared. Wipers functional. If I need to get up and go, I can.

Lost a buddy this morning. Pistol teammate. Had recently retired from his PD and was looking forward to a retirement of hunting and fishing. Much too young. He was a good guy and will be much missed.
