Lost a buddy this morning. Pistol teammate. Had recently retired from his PD and was looking forward to a retirement of hunting and fishing. Much too young. He was a good guy and will be much missed. Condolences Bob. Happens too often.

Sorry to hear you lost your buddy.
That stinks when someone is taken soon after retiring…. I hope his pension continues on for the wife.

We supposedly had some freezing rain during the morning but you couldn't prove it by me. It must have been very little. I don't see it on the trees, power lines, etc. We did get up to 33 this afternoon, however, partially thawing the snow, which has now refrozen. So, the roads are a bit icy, but the power should stay on, which is by far the more important thing.

We started at 24° this morning and are now at 10 on the way to -2. Something is screwed up about that. Must be a federal department I didn’t know about.

Had an appointment this morning with the Acupuncturist. Been going for about a month now nd she saw I was in more distress than I should be. Last night I reached overhead and something in my chest and shoulder made a loud noise like when you crack you knuckles but must louder. Since then I have had more than normal pain in my chest. Since I've had the hardware installed the chest hasn't ben the same. She thinks I tore a muscle. It sure feels like I did. Tomorrow I will go to the primary care sawbones so she can order an MRI. That will take a month to get approved so by then I should be good to go! That's if the roads are passable. It's beginning to rain a mist to soak everything before the cold returns back into the teens.
Plenty of coffee and tobacco on hand to make it through!!

Doesn't sound like fun.

Could be the bones shifting around, john . Sure do hope that you get it taken care of quickly. Thanks Russ. Has a couple of cortisone injections since Sept and therapy as well which worked for a short time. I have a tear in the shoulder already but this appears to be a pectoral muscle problem added to it. Pipes and rest! That's the ticket!! At least according to the Barber surgeons aboard ship in the 17th - 18th century.

Got up to 59° today and almost all the ice has melted. Didn't freeze last night, but going to 25 tonight and going to be cold all weekend. Going to Texarkana tomorrow for the doctor and then to New Boston. The only German restaurant in area is closing and tomorrow is the last day.

Because someone wasn't doing their job at the VA hospital outpatient department in Cleveland, I had to wait three months to get the approval for my first hip replacement.
