That is utterly ridiculous. I would be in contact with my congressman, they usually have an aide/ aides to help veterans out.

The VA hospital has a group of people called "patient advocates" that have the authority to troubleshoot problems and complaints. And they get the job done. When I reported the delay, they were furious and got me approved almost immediately.

My Daughter is a high Mucky Muck in the VA, she was a crew chief on a gun ship, the naysayers are afraid of her she doesn’t tolerate that kind of 💩, I’m very proud of her!

Thanks for the notice, Bob. I would not have known. REL ranks high on my list of the Good. It is little wonder his troops loved him so.

We're not having a snow storm here, but on/off light snow that'll continue until after midnight. Just a couple of inches of new snow altogether. I'm going to stay home and putter around doing some light chores. Nap first, of course.

Woke up to a boil order from the water department. Given the temps predicted for the weekend, I expect it will get worse before it gets better.

He was a helluva pistol shot. We were on the same team. He could ALWAYS shade me in the PPC matches but our great fun was the after-match 2-man team bowling pin matches. He was the accuracy guy and I was the speed guy. I led and he did pick-up right behind me. We could clear a rack of six pins in three seconds.

He sounded like a great guy Bob, and a true pillar of the community....Case tractors, shooting sports, and bowling...He would be good to ride the river with.

Moved back into my place now I am done pet sitting.Dropped my car off at the mechanic shop as the part that was leaking is under warranty. Hope that's all it needs. We shall see I might end up just buying my Moms car from my Dad depending on how much it costs to fix the van. Im just really tired of pouring money into a 20 year old vehicle. I mean its only got 126k miles on it so thats not bad but I don't know whats going to break next and everything on the van ive replaced is the kind of stuff you replace when you hit that kind of age and mileage so its not like its a lemon I dont know we shall see.

Pretty low miles for a 20 year old vehicle, but that is sometimes worse than having 200k on it. Around town driving and not getting it out on the highway to wring the moisture out of the crankcase, tranny is hard on a vehicle. I am in the same boat, my pickup travels round trip 10 miles 3 times a week max. I drive so much in the company truck, I don’t want to drive when I get home ( no paycheck involved, and I buy the fuel)😉 Glad to loan it to the kids on an out of town trip to blow the cobwebs out.

I was going to shovel snow and then go to the supermarket but, realistically, that's not going to happen. Groceries (and ice cream for tonight) won out. I'll shovel snow tomorrow.

Starting Tuesday, the temps in SW Michigan are back to the upper 30s with rain for several days. Ours is all going to melt and turn into mud…

Rain predicted here when it warms up after Sunday, too. Prolonged hard freeze, snow, thaw, rain -- yards and whatnot will be a muddy mess for a while.
Sunny and mid-20s, today.

In the background I heard on the radio the forecaster said something about several degrees below zero for Arkansas up to Kansas in the coming days.
Sure could use some hemispheric warming.

LoL! Robet e Lee was a traitor. The south or the confederacy at that time was not complicated. What‘s ignorant is believing the confederacy was about anything other than holding slaves.

It's better to be silent and be considered ignorant, than to speak and remove all doubt. Our education system is clearly off the rails.
