Weather Station came in, hooked it up, nice! I always wanted to get one of those things. I've had several cheap ones that never worked. I was going to get a good one when we moved up here but haven't done it yet.

They have a lot on Amazon. The fancy looking ones start at about $150 and go up from there. Thanks, yet another rabbit hole to go down!

In addition to the garden work today, my wife and I also bought the usual fall decorating stuff. The front porch is full-on country harvest festival. I have a few things to pull out of the shed to complete the look. We're a little late this year, my wife wanted to wait until after the wedding to do that. No Halloween decorations this year as we'll be going to our daughter and son-in-law's house.

my weather gauge is my head. When it is cold, it is cold. When it is wet, it is raining, etc.
Seriously, a neighbor has one with wifi and I check it from time to time.

Finally, back at the house after 2 weeks of storm restoration at home and then 1 week in the western part of the Carolinas, 1 crew headed back from Florida tonight, I'm too Old for this Shite, turned 62 Wednesday, Please pray for folks who were literally wiped out, who lost Family and property, and who have lost all hope of any normalcy, Human Lives, Property, and Power Utility Infrastructure simply Washed away, It's beyond belief. It's effing unreal. Count your blessings, God loves You, regardless of the outcomes of your life, I know that might not be comforting to folks that have suffered the disasters and all the other factors of human suffering, Please Believe That God Almighty Loves and Cares about You, and He will comfort and reassure that You belong to Him. If this post offends someone, I really don't care. God is Real!!!

Thank you John for what you and your men did, you've got a place in heaven! And an amen to that! I saw stories about the north Carolinians coming together in an incredibly difficult situation, the people of faith are the first responders, the people of government pretty much dropped the ball.

It’s a Cajun Medicine man, treats for whatever you have, treated my boy for warts on his feet, bu golly they dropped off in several weeks, trators are almost extinct now, they have to pass it on. It can be a woman also, The story was a friends Momma who treated him, she said a prayer then went and cut an X on a fig branch and when the branch died the warts would be gone, well weeks went by, wife got antsy, bought wart removal medicine and when Ira was sleeping she raised the blanket to put medication on, couldn’t find them. When he woke up he told his Momma I forgot to tell you they dropped off. Real story I Garronte!

My grandma had all kinds of remedies from being a nurse for 50 years before penicillin. The old ways are going away. I was a great douser when I was 15-25 but gave it up. No need anymore.

traiteurs, supposedly is the right spelling, should have looked it up. While growing up they were common among the Cajuns. Wife said she thought they were Catholic thing. Don't know because all I knew early in life were Catholics.

Tires I ordered from Walmart one is delayed and I don't want to drive on the donut for another week so I'm trying to cancel that order and get it refunded so I can just go to another place and get them today. But we shall see. Oh well at least I can get a oil change today.
