It's a nice one here in Memphis, too. Bright, clear, and sunny, with just a hint of autumn in the chill breeze.

It's been a cool, wet, blustery and gloomy day here today. The sun comes back tomorrow.

I'm in love with the little Maori New Zealand MP. If you haven't seen her just Google NZ Parliament Haka. I wish our Native Americans had representation in our congress. My wife had a great idea for a chain of Haka studios across the country. I would have loved to be able to do a Haka at lunch. It would have improved my day., 😁

We had another clear and sunny day, but it's chilly out there, now. Upper 40s, I think.

Got to about 50, but totally overcast all day. Maybe some sunshine tomorrow? At least the temp doesn't drop as fast after dark when you've got cloud cover.

NJDan , you still out there? Yep, thanks for asking. I needed to take a break due to some dental surgery, but I’m all healed up now and ready to resume puffing away!

My little brother that lives in Springfield Ohio texted me...He serviced his snow blower and is excited that a snowstorm is coming to him so he can put it to work.
I think my mom dropped him on his head in his younger years.

I would like to get the chance to ride a locomotive rotary blower, that is far as it goes with me.
I remember shoveling snow when the arctic paid us a visit… I think I had crystalized lungs and throat in them workouts.

I remember shoveling snow when the arctic paid us a visit… I think I had crystalized lungs and throat in them workouts. When we got 17 inches of snow, there was simply nothing we could do about it. You should take a ride on the Silverton & Durango train and see the twisted steel tracks hanging in the trees. Snow is nice to visit, but I don't want it at my house.

Crazy week Tuesday I did a lot of stops in town and a visit with Mr. Rutter retired Air Force veteran who raises his grandkids with his wife's help. His wife knitted Deere an amazing blanket as a gift and we all received two new knitted pairs of slipper's. Deere had tough day as a parent came into class and was extremely impolite in front of students so that evening I gave Deere her special blanket. Friday took a load of cans and bottles in to recycling and on the way Mr Rutter called and said to stop for lunch, Korean BBQ and sides. When we were done visiting his wife who is from South Korea had everything ready for supper for our family. Came home and wood grilled her marinated beef ribs. This week reminds me to grateful for those who go above and beyond at the stops made in town who were helpful and friendly also folks who take time and thought out of their day. I am very blessed! Today a friend of a friend helped get my pickup bed loaded never met him before. Topped off by Charlie's tobacco bomb. Now it is my responsibility to keep this kindness rolling forward l have some thinking to do.

Today was the first day of our nine day rifle deer season. I usually go out and nine out of 10 times I bring a buck home. No hunting for me today. I had some errands I had to run in town and it tuckered me out so much that I had to sit today out. Tomorrow I should be in shape for a nice day. Rifle here is followed by a month of muzzleloader and then two-weeks of late antlerless. We have generous seasons. Archery deer runs from September 1 to January 1.

I have a vague recollection that your preferred deer rifle is chambered in 7mm-08. Am I making that up?

I am having a disgruntled back day. Been having spasms ever since I got out of bed. I have invited them to stop, but so far they have declined the invitation.

How's that new chair working out? Great, actually. It's a huge improvement. (And a good thing that it is, given the cost.)
