Taking wife’s Avalon to get her windshield replaced, OEM wait is about 4 months, hers had a really bad crack in it, DONT know how it happened, but we got the best aftermarket. Gotta take my Nissan Frontier in at 9 this morning. The other day when I turned the key forward it sounded like a woodpecker under the dash… immediately knew it was the blend door actuator. Easiest self diagnosis ever. I jinxed myself… the other day I told someone that my 2012 frontier with 118K on it, never had to replace a single bulb, replaced tires at 110, and shocks shortly after that, the brakes are original…. Other than that, just routine maintenance. I really screwed up on jinxing myself. Mechanic called and along with the blend door motor the recirculation motor has a failure… that unlike the blend door to remove the complete dash, and while they do that they recommend doing the other 2 Blend doors, which would require a dash removal at a later date. Putting that off for now, because they saw slight hairline cracks on the drive tires around the complete sidewall, and the spare is original from 2012. $1,440.00… this one takes priority. And I knew my main water supply line had corrosion and os seeping…. $700.00 out the door tomorrow for the plumber… again, priority. Bummer.

Walmart has Cooper Discoverer tires for the Ram for $153 each. I got them on my truck 3 years ago and couldn't be happier.

Windshield Marathon, Toyota can not calibtate wife's windshield, Glass place that Toyota deals with was where my young man got the aftermarket windshield. Talked to the installer at that place he will try and calibrate it for 300$, if it can't be done, no charge, then he will go the OEM route. Will drop it off tomorrow, WHEW, winded just talking about it!

Decent day at the office. Now working from home, after throwing some sticks for the doggo. She's gotten pretty good at understanding what it means when I go in my gate and close it. She used to stand there and bark for several minutes. Now she just goes home.
Also, a big whitetail buck came out to watch us play fetch. Big one. Eight or ten points, I think. Well fed, in any case. He watched us a while, and we stared at him for a bit, then I threw the stick for Molly again (at a 90-degree angle from him) and he turned and bolted back into the trees. I've seen deer out on that lot before, but this was the biggest one.

That is for mounting, balancing, disposal, free rotation, refund, repair replacement from discount tire. Not cheap, but they are pretty solid… switched from A/T tires, got Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 .. the truck rarely leaves the road. These are really quiet.

I should have changed them to some Chinese tires and not balanced then. Probably the last tires that truck will need.

Happy Saint Crispin's Day!
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remember’d; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

I bought a fountain pen. Not my first by far but I had a yen for a new one. I shopped and ended up with a gold-trimmed, black laquer Scriveiner. Billed strongly as a “British brand” over and over, its sub-$100 price argues strongly for Brit design (as does the pen itself) but unacknowledged Chinese production. Still it is so far a fine instrument and writes way above its price-point. Time will tell. (Actual Brit-made pens average about $400 these days.)

63° here this morning enjoying coffee out on the patio, our high is suppose to be about 97°… when your body is regulated/ climatized for the southwest, unless you are doing heavy physical activity, you do not break a sweat.

My writing when using one was much nicer than my usual scratches. Then we closed on our second home and I took a Parker 75 fountain pen. Everyone in the room was tearing their hair out because they weren't ready when we got there and had other closings stacking up. Stressed me so much I haven't used one since.

Think of it as "Colonial Production". I have seen nice Scriveiner's I would enjoy trying out. I prefer fountain or cartridge pens with a nib and good ink. Mostly I use Montblanc's. Of course, they require good paper to properly absorb ink without blurring.

We were supposed to get a delivery of landscaping blocks yesterday between 6am and 8pm. So I got up at 5am, which is hours before my usual wake-up time. We kept getting text notices and emails telling us it was on the way. It kept getting later and later, saying that it would be here at 11:20 pm. Made for a long day. Never did arrive.
