When your wife calls the doctor's office to let them know you are running a few minutes late so they charge you for a missed appointment, reschedule your appointment for one hour later and tell you to come back next week to get your labs. LMAO. 50 degrees in the swamp last night that is pretty darn cold for your very own swamp rat. We live 35 miles from the doctor's office and thirty of those miles are under construction and down to one lane each direction, construction should wrap up by 2030 at which point the road will be repaved. My long lasting insulin is being discontinued so I can call my primary physician and ask him what he wants to prescribe next, keep in mind that I am sitting on 40 pens of the slow acting insulin. Stay tuned for more exciting episodes of just my luck. Peace and love to all you fine folk. Criminy. When it rains, it pours.

I knocked a big ol' cup of water off my desk. Said water splashed off the wall and straight into the backs of my PC and UPS.
Both are still running, but the fan is going full force on the PC and has been for about 20 minutes, and I've got no video output. I may have fried the graphics card.

Better shut everything down and remove all components and let them air out then in a day or two reassemble.

Better shut everything down and remove all components and let them air out then in a day or two reassemble. It seems like the fan is trying to dry it out. It's not running because anything's hot. The exhaust isn't noticeably warm. So, I think it's trying to dry itself. Since it's right beside me, I'm gonna let it run a while.
Is it gonna save it by drying things out faster?
Is it gonna fry it by being powered up when wet?
Only the Shadow knows.

Unplugged all the down spouts on the house gutters. You need to get leaf filter gutters. 😉 I got them. They do work, but way overpriced. $60/ft after negotiating the price down 50% from the initial quote. Besides, how would you know? 😁

I think you are right to leave it on for an hour or so. I keep a cheap video card around because that's one of most likely parts to fail. Of course I have extra power supplies and hard drives too.

Made it safely back from wound care the new doctor is now my doctor. That makes me happy as I don't much care for the other doctor on staff. Called my primary physician and he is going to prescribe a different insulin that is available so I will have to check my numbers until I can figure out how body reacts. I have been spoiled by Levemir and have not needed to check my numbers for several years, hopefully the new insulin will fall in line and the dreaded finger pricks can be a thing not needed. So far a better start to the day than yesterday. Much peace and love to all.

I think she already gave it to someone who needed it. She's on Mounjaro now, as am I. It's working great for her.

She took 58 units before the Mounjaro and with it she takes 10 units. She suggested that you check into the Omnipod.

Besides, how would you know? 😁 Yeah… clueless in Arizona! I get the commercials though, even on local channels… it seems pointless to spend advertising $$ in this region. We do not even have rain gutters here with tile roofing, it does cascade from the front porch and back. But it is easy to leave the home between showers.

We do not even have rain gutters here with tile roofing, it does cascade from the front porch and back. But it is easy to leave the home between showers. The only reason we got 30 feet was because of the rain splashing onto the front porch. Otherwise it's not much of a problem as we can wait for the rain to stop since we don't work. I have tried every gutter protector over the years. The best thing is to remove the gutters. They might solve some problems, but they create more. If you don't have any trees in a hundred feet of the house I suppose they are OK. With tax the Leaf Filter gutters were over $2k for 30 feet with taxes installed. I could have put up Home Depot gutters myself for 150, but then I would have to clean them monthly and I'm old. I had to have the installer come out 3 times because of stupid stuff like installing the downspout pieces upside down so water sprayed out of every joint, routing the water against the foundation, etc.

We were quoted 20k for gutters with leaf guards a few years ago. No thank you. Local guy my wife found did the gutters. Around 3k I think.

Been having some reflux overnight and today. Don't know if it was the Chick-Fil-A I ate for supper last night, or I've been drinking too much rooibos tea. Gonna lay off of both.

I had rooibos tea and baklava last night before bed and my reflux kicked up. Had to raise the head of the bed. I didn't know it would do that.
