Took the dogs to the vet today for routine shots. Bordatella and snake vaccine. Jack hates it, but Eli thinks it’s great fun. He hops up on the scale, sits, and gets weighed. (60 pounds.) Then he goes into the exam room and leaps up onto the stainless exam table. They like him there and he returns the favor. Kisses all around!

Funny coincidence… As I was reading your post, I was listening to a great old Three Dog Night song…. Eli’s Coming. Hopefully you do not have too many three dog nights out on the plains.

We’ve had a few, for sure. But since I now have only two I keep plenty of blankets handy.

Made my first of three 130 mile round trips for doctors visits this week. Besides everything else, that's a tank of gas. At least it's all nice roads.

So you should be injected, neglected and rejected on the road to healing for sure. At 130 miles you running into Dallas area to get all that love.

A really bad day for this Russian. This is scary stuff. Dang! The days of chivalry probably never existed, but that's chicken shite. I guess I'm just old fashioned, but killing a man shouldn't become a video game. I understand that we have drones that can be programed with the image of a targets face, and will autonomously search until the person is found and eliminated. Scarry.

One commentator: “ Nobody wants to talk about the fact using drones in such a manner is in direct violation of the Geneva convention... for the same reason hollow point and fragmentation ammunition aren't allowed... there has to be a reasonable chance of survival...”
And I did not see an armed individual….
Looks chicken shite to me.

A drone watches a drone kill a man, chasing him around like a cat with a mouse. I can’t watch this without a feeling of horror.

I would argue that pretty much every way of killing in war is pretty horrific. Machine gun, napalm, white phosphorus, gas, flamethrower, fuel-air bomb, nuke, and now drones. I left out about 100 other ways to destroy your brother. It’s all sad. 😞

This is the like the horror that deeply shocked people during the first world war. Killing had become industrialized using machine technology with absolutely devastating results. Machine guns, poison gas, aircraft equipped with bombs, and artillery able to kill beyond the horizon showed the old ideas of the nobility and honor of war were gone forever.

The most toxic germ on the planet? “Leaders.”

Yep. This is absolutely true. That's why the Chinese government and ours are working to dehumanize the people. And each party is dehumanizing the other.

You know, if the Russians issued shotguns.... We were just discussing that at work today. Each squad needs a few goose hunters with 3 1/2” chambered 12g semi-autos.

I think 10ga is overkill for drones. My Centurion has a 20 round magazine.

My nephew has a H&R 10 gauge with a 20 inch barrel. I would rather have the drone drop a grenade on me that shoot a 3.5 inch shelf in that thing.

Nothing is overkill for a drone that wants to chase you around and kill you.

What in the wide, wide world of sports is a 10-ga. with a 20 inch barrel for? Breaching doors? Causing extreme terror? That was my reaction. He says it's not that bad, firing it from the hip. The barrel looks like it 3/16 thick.

This was a Chamber of Commerce day here in NE Texas today. 75 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Got in 40 minutes of sunbathing to hopefully improve my skin condition and went out for a haircut.

With the video that Bob posted, and knowing that the military industrial complex is hot to trot on recruiting gamers. I can see where that type of person can exact lethal power on someone else without ever being concerned about his own mortality.
I can foresee some really bad human engineering on people that would develop a seared conscience, and as a result some really warped people in our midst.
