It’s 82 bleedin’ degrees here today. I want one more good hard freeze to kill off some of these skeeters but I don’t think we’re gonna get it.

It was 84 in Branson around 2:30. A bit warmer than was called for.

We went to Springfield MO. to see the aquarium we had heard so much about. Total bust. If you have a choice, go to any other aquarium. We have visited at least a dozen and the one in Springfield is the worst by far. So, a hundred miles round trip in the rain and $120 for 2 tickets for basically nothing. We did catch the tail end of a tornado on the way back to Branson. Wind was really rocking the truck and horizontal hail. What fun.

Just got back from a two mile walk in my snowshoes. Still snowing here in Denver. Snowshoeing is fun. But cross-country skiing is better to me. Too out of shape now for either. Glad to hear that you are up to it.

That is good, Don. Glad you are getting snow. Seems to have missed us here on the NM CO border.

Snowshoeing is fun. But cross-country skiing is better to me. Too out of shape now for either. Glad to hear that you are up to it. Downhill skiing is even better, but I don’t like lines, spending huge amounts of money or injuring my knees, hips, thumbs…..You get the idea. I would cross country ski again if I lived in the mountains. I liked CC skiing on the flats. You just slide instead of picking up the snow shoes. Or wasn't I doing it right?

Been a strange couple of days. Yesterday went to the sawbones for a routine check up and was told that my PSA levels jumped up. SO he says that he wants to do a biopsy. I asked if there was something that was less drastic to do and he said there was. Stop the testosterone therapy I've been on for the past 10 years and see if it is effecting the prostate. I said that should have been the lead in answer. Not the secondary approach. Why do they always go for the most drastic first? Then today after my morning bible study class I lead one of the members asked me to assist him in getting signed up with the VA for benefits. So I went to his house and the process has changed considerably since I signed up 15 years ago. He had to set up his online account, then had to be verified no less that 7 times the last of which was to have a video chat with an examiner just to validate he was who he said he was. He was still working that through when I had to leave to meet a man from another church for lunch. He wanted to discuss and issue that he is facing and wanted my input. We went to the best BBQ place in town and had an amazing bowl of Brunswick Stew. This was the best I've has since I moved to Alabama 24 years ago from Georgia. Loaded with pulled pork and brisket! Came back home and should be working on a sermon for Sunday, but, I'm unable to concentrate at this time.... At least the wife is sleeping so I won't ne interrupted with political commentary until I want to watch some TV tonight... She's good that way... I have been on testosterone injection for about 15 years. My brain was so slow that I can't imagine stopping. It was a new lease on life. I hope your situation settles in a good manner. I go to the urologist the first part of April. Hoping mostly for no kidney surprises. I see people offering condolences, but I have not been able to find the post. I understand that you lost a good friend. I hope you are comforted by the mercy of Christ. Thanks for the support Ron. I go back next week and we’ll see what happens next.

Back from the podiatrist/wound care today he used the scalpel for debridement my personal preferred method. He decided every three weeks for now going forward. The drive in was heavy rain but the return was dry until we got close to the hacienda. Yesterday looking out the window there was a all green lizard who from time to time would blow up a all red pouch on its throat as long as it gets along with armadillo living under the smaller of the two sheds he can stick around rent free. Momma is off to the grocery store to restock culinary delights and the all-important coffee and condiments. Lifestyles of the poor and unknown will add to the mesmerizing going ons at a later date. Have a fun filled day folks.

Drove from Branson to Bentonville this morning. The road was built for motorcycles, but unfortunately I wasn't on one. We were looking so forward to visiting Bentonville and the Chrystal Bridges art museum. Not happening. In the past 12 years the population has increased 60%. Couldn't find parking at the museum or downtown. It's worse than Austin during SXSW, but there isn't anything special happening. Heading for home tomorrow.

We got clipped coming out of Springfield MO. Had to pull off the highway and shelter between 2 big metal warehouses. Truck usually doesn't notice the wind, but it was dancing all over the road. Horizontal hail, but only pea sized. Didn't here about any damage there, but it was definitely tornado weather.

Everyone said we were moving to tornado alley, but Linden has never had a tornado in the town. Knocking on wood as I type this.
