Spending about a week with my hearing aids. 😢 My Phonak hearing aids came with a three year warranty. At the end of the three years, my audiologist can send them in to be refurbished and I get another three years of warranty. Unfortunately, I arrived at my audiologist yesterday morning and their two loaner sets are out on loan. I could have waited until a loaner set was available or I could have done them one at a time. I decided to bull through a week without because I want to make sure they’re done and back by when we go to see the eclipse in early April. Well, hopefully there won't be any snags with them. Maybe your audiologist will get a loaner pair back before the week is up? In the meantime, you have an excuse to ignore the wife's requests.

Skunk tripped the special skunk trap last night and dug another hole under the foundation. Had to fix the wife's battery connections for the 3rd time in 6 months. Scion/Toyota uses the worst clamps I ever saw, and there isn't enough slack to replace them without new cables.

Probably a mama looking to nest for birthing. I get them here. They return to favored spots. No problem. I like the little rascals.
Yes, Spring is here, finally. Not a difficult Winter.

The flowers are going to be too early for the Wildflower Trail again this year. It's always towards the end of April. I think they nerd to move it up. The climate is definitely changing, regardless of the cause.

Studying for my bimonthly drug test cause they can never be to carful with a Veteran held to gather by a Jr Erector set with a non healing diabetic ulcer that has a concealed carry permit. That 15mg a day they allow could turn me into a threat to society and myself.

Now the wife tells me the pain doc is on the 4th of next month sure hope I can make nine 5mg325 pills last 14 days and not snap. Well there is always alcohol or maybe some of that black market Fentanyl I keep hearing so much about. Maybe Chewy sells pain meds for dogs or maybe some barbiturates for seizures. Maybe a good vet instead of my lame arse pain doctor who bases for needs on a hospital stay over a year ago. Modern problems suck!

I used to feed them with the feral cats. Never had a problem with them. They get used to humans and if not startled do not spray. To me they are just another type of cat, a pole cat.

Another little triumph today. I managed to finally get the dog yard sorted out. The frequent snows had made it difficult to keep after it through the winter. But today I got it done.
Jack is getting very weak in his hind end. Today we had 72° and lovely sun with very little breeze. I took his pad out on the deck and the three of us stayed out there until dark. He really enjoyed that. I’m trying to give him all the pleasant experiences I possibly can.

Yeah...I am sure that your situation is far worse than mine last year, but I know of what you speak. Spending many nights arching my back from the excruciating pain due to a broken Tibia Plateau and a doctor that could not/ would not prescribe me something other than OTC Advil sucked. If I ever experience something like that again, the first question that I will ask the attending physician is if he will prescribe me what I need...if not I will go elsewhere. I wouldn't wish that on an enemy.

Well, we had last night off, but the stink is on again tonight. I was mistaken, the new trap did get a small one last night. The pest control guy reset the trap, filled in the hole and blocked it with one of my iron boulders from the yard and deported the critter to the swamps between here and Hughes Springs. It's on its own now.

One night I hit eight skunks driving my rig from King City Ca. to Ft. Hunter Liggett. Skunk chunks were all up in the undercarriage… I guess that was a bumper crop year for the skunks..
That was on my trip to Shakey- town (LA)…Pedestrians in LA were pinching noses, and other motorists did not want to be behind me.
