Second sunny day in a row here in NE Texas. Picked up the lawnmower from the shop and mowed what wasn't too muddy. 84 degrees.

Lovely day here. High 60s with sunny skies and calm winds. Tomorrow is irrigation ditch day. People come out of their burrows and help get the debris out so irrigation can begin in a couple of weeks.

You getting in on that? Maybe in the afternoon. Too ill in the mornings when the Chemo kicks in. I feel like I was punched in the head by Sonny Liston.

Silver Pete said that sunshine was on the way and here it is in our area. It's now a beautiful 55° with bright sunshine and white clouds floating along the sky.

It was 88° here today – oh wow! – and I took the new Gravely out and did in 10 minutes what it used to take me half an hour to do. Came in and had a supper of smoked salmon and mashed spuds, washed down with a glass of watermelon vodka.. Life is good!

Kicked back in my recliner and watching the Yankees vs Guardians game. NY is chasing CLE off of the field 8-1 at the top of the 8th. I think I'll watching the rest of the game in snooze mode.

I've got an interview tomorrow with my current contracted lab to become full time. They are hoping I'll take the Lead Scientist position in Immunohematology which, if the numbers are right, I will. My recruiter for the Healthcare Traveler company I'm with is being very supportive and will keep my position open and waiting if things don't work out.

I remember the night my wife came home and told me that she had been promoted to vice president over collections at the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. She was up all night on the edge of a nervous breakdown. Rocking and crying. I hope your experience is much better. I the one who should have been upset, as I barely saw her for the next 10 years.

Thanks guys! Ron, this job won't be nearly as dramatic. Smaller facility and, currently, reasonable management. 👍

It's a nice Spring Sunday here in our town...77°, breezy, and with bright sunshine. Taking a break from moving furniture and the large pieces are in place. Next will be putting all of the small stuff put away. I have to go attend to the laundry, but I seem to be stuck in my recliner. Lol!

For their sake, they better get them numbers right, doggone it! That is saying something, and frankly does not surprise me at all knowing your character. That speaks well of that recruiter also, and frankly should be the norm in any industry (but more often is not).Best wishes, Darin!

Got all the yard work done. Got a bike ride in. (It was much more exhilarating going out than it was coming in against that 20mph wind.) Got some writing done. Checked on some people. Smoked a pipe.

Beautiful day today. Lots of wind. The birds are singing like crazy. One mocking bird and another unidentified bird with a beautiful song that could have been heard over a rock concert.

Here, too. 70 degrees, calm winds. Plenty of Meadowlarks singing. A Redtail Hawk flying along side the truck as I drove down the dirt road next the the field the hawk claims. I have seen this hawk twice before when visiting there. There must be a nest nearby.
