Woke up today with an old shoulder blade injury announcing it hasn't forgotten about me. Gonna put a kink in several of the plans I had for this afternoon if it doesn't shape up. Think a heating pad may help as well?

Only with the right arm. Hanging by the left is contraindicated.

Think a heating pad may help as well? It might if I owned one. A large flat stone heated by a hand Phaser might work. Failing that place stone on stove to heat. Rest on top.

Well, the day started great, but went off the rails this evening. Pulled a kind of trailboss tricks with the oven. The lower element caught on fire and it was burning like a cutting torch. Looks like I'm going to need a new double wall oven.

Just finished cleaning up the baking soda from the fire extinguisher. Ordered a CO2 extinguisher from Amazon. Years ago I took 2 CO2 extinguishers to get serviced in Houston and a friend picked them up. For the last 25+ years I haven't looked at them. Until I needed one. Still have powder all over the stereo system, TVs, etc. At least all the lids were closed.

I should have taken chances with the flames 😉

I should have taken chances with the flames 😉 Well, I just used 3 short blasts and I could tell it was having no effect. I don't think the CO2 would have worked either. If I had really let go, I would have had to call the insurance company. Any idea what a 1% deductible looks like these days. If it happens to one of you, just turn off the breaker. I thought that with the oven turned off the power to the coil was off. Turns out it doesn't work that way.

Well, they got the new AC in today, everything seems copacetic. The appliance guy was supposed to be here at 3:30 but didn't show or call. Only buying microwave or stove top food these days.

Look at convection we really like ours. Had one for years and barely used. If we have a buy a new one, they are all convection now. We already have an air frier that does convection right.

I just got a new stove last year and it's not convection. When you are baking something though, it does use the upper and lower coils so your stuff will brown on top too.

It took months for my folks to get a warranty claim on their fridge addressed. Repairmen kept making appointments and not showing up, then showing up and not being able to fix it, and back and forth and back and forth. May you have better luck.

Can a air fryer make canned biscuits or brisket then cake for dessert nope but Sharp convection microwave can It does great on biscuits and small cake. We don't make brisket that way. Low and slow and wrapped in foil. The convection oven we had didn't live up to the claims. Maybe it knocked 10 minutes off an hour, not anything like cutting the cooking time in half. Not in a hurry anyway. I can't really imagine cooking a brisket in a convection oven. 🤔
