Watching the Guardians vs Braves game being played in Atlanta. Scoreless in the bottom of the fourth. My Dodgers are on a tear, after a rough patch. Won their 6th in a row, in Toronto today. Guo Guardians! I'm old enough to remember the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Ed used to sneak in the Yankee dugout and smoke Babe’s cigars. That resulted in Babe smoking the cover off the balls he was so pissed.

Astros actually won one. I don't know what has happened to them.

Just carried some garbage out to the bin and heard a lone cicada singing making its racket. And so it begins. I'm sure those hellspawned critters are good for something -- nature isn't much for waste -- but danged if I know what it is.

It's nice to hear a few of them on warm summer nights, but they can get overwhelming. Luckily for us, we are just out of the area for the broods this year. Haven't heard one yet. Frogs can get VERY loud though. Might have drowned out any cicadas.

Got rid of the last of the bad food from the freezer this morning. For some reason they pick up the trash on Sunday mornings here. Threw out about 40 pounds of shrimp and crawfish, 15 pounds of catfish and flounder, 5 pounds of boudin and many pounds of beer brats and pork and venison sausage. Finished crying now.

Oh, Ron. I know, I know. A ‘coon unplugged the freezer in the tractor garage. I didn’t catch it for days. Lost many, many pounds of venison, elk, moose, etc. Thought I had lost the freezer, too, but hours of hard rehab managed to save it. I commiserate.

If he is, it can be one mis-step from the digital overlords, you get de-platformed. I am glad to see that many people recognize great advice and the wisdom being given.

So you just chucked food that had been in there too long?
We have a big bag of U/15 shrimp and some Lobster tails that have been in the freezer for a few months.
We need to eat them…. first world problems.

Never underestimate what can be construed as offensive by the kids in Silicon Valley… especially when money is a factor. I wish he could mirror his YT segments on a podcast, I listen to a lot of podcasts that I download and enjoy in the land of no wifi.

We need to eat them…. first world problems. The freezer door got accidentally left open a little bit, and unlike our old GE freezer that lasted 30+years, this one doesn't have an alarm. Most of the stuff we lost hadn't been in there that long, no more than 6 months. We didn't throw out any steaks as I figured a little more aging wouldn't hurt. About to take a couple of sirloin strips out of the bag now.

Out getting my walk, I was nearly decapitated by a crow. It was pulling something up off the street -- some kind of bread product that had been run over several times -- and hadn't quite torn it loose until I was, say, 15 feet from it. Launched itself and its morsel straight at my head and did not swerve. I had to duck out of the way. That son of a gun was not changing its course for the likes of me.

You have a brightside though. Only one elk or moose will replinish it. You got a good reason to hunt next season. See if you can shoot some shrimp and catfish while you're at it. I can replace everything, but I hate the waste. As I am sure is your biggest regret. Waste.

Waste. Exactly. Forget about me, or guests. My dogs could have lived grandly, and healthily. That ‘coon deprived them of so much goodness, that magnificent animals died to give them Almost a tragedy.

Sometimes they get so thick in our yard that I go out with the shotgun and fire at an empty place between them. They can take a hint. They are the only birds that set off the motion sensors. Big suckers!

Big suckers! My cousin moved to Yuba City and was excited to rent a house with the largest tree around it was huge! He found out that it was infested with crows that cawed incessantly. He would run out and scream at them to “shut up” (no shooting in town, and they don’t understand English) and they would then go quiet… …Just until he started to go back to sleep, then the crows resumed…Constant and relentless.😂 I
