Quick trip to wound care followed by a Tune Up haircut and shave. Still flooding washing the used furniture into the gulf. We don't get Houston news up here. Are there more flooded areas than usual? I saw that in Kingwood the houses close to the river were flooding, but I'm pretty sure that's all happened before. Lots of flooding in Livingston! But also low land close to the river. Houston is a victim and perpetrator of out of control real estate developers and always had been.

Cancer loves sugar. Used fermentation for cell growth. I was advised to avoid all sweeteners and reduce carb intake. While trucking to Palm Springs one night, I listened to a doctor on a podcast talk about the incredible increase of sugars introduced into our food stream. He made an impressive argument about the relationship of sugar and dementia/ Alzheimers. I immediately thought about Reagan giving up the pipe, and consuming massive amounts of Jelly Belly’s…that is anecdotal to be sure, but he should have kept the pipe. My sugar intake is pretty low, but I still have my senior moments!😉 Every other first world nation has banned corn syrup from most processed foods. The US keeps the cane sugar prices artificially high to support the cane farmers. If they wore competing with the rest of the world, sugar would be less than half the price and the farmers could grow something else. The government has directly contributed to the huge diabetes epidemic. The FDA is worthless, bought and paid for by the very people it's supposed to regulate.

Going to Sis and BILs house this evening. I will pack 3 or 4 pipes that I rarely smoke for the festivities.

The rash on my arms is gone, so that's nice. Various muscles and joints are letting me know they don't appreciate having been made to yank on all those vines to get them pulled out, yesterday. In their honor, today, I am sitting upon my arse.

Decided to do some cleaning, my pipe racks were over half empty, the buffet cabinet covered with dust, pipes in four different bags, trays full of pipes and pipe tools/ matches/ lighters everywhere...time to straighten up my act. Cased, lap pipes, and most meers in the drawer.

Was anyone around on May 5th 1961 to watch Alan Shepard become the first American astronaut in space. They herded about 90 of us into the cafeteria to watch in the 19 inch b/w TV to watch the Redstone rocket not explode. We were quiet.

We will need the brand of the 19inch Tv and the network it was tuned to. Also describe the 1961 cafeteria workers.

I listened and reported to the class. Fifth Grade.
