My wife and I enjoyed an afternoon performance by the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra on Saturday. It was really excellent. Driving to and from Symphony Hall was perfect as well for a Saturday. A really nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon, followed by dinner and a visit to the art supply store. (I controlled myself really well and came out of the store only spending around $30. A handful of pens and a felt pouch to keep them in). I was beginning to think we'd scared you off already.
I had a niece who played in the Nashville Youth Orchestra. She really enjoyed it.

No, no way. I am enjoying being here. I've just had a lot of irons in the fire. I thought things were supposed to settle down after you retired. lol

I like Gerry Rafferty but I was never crazy about that one. I always liked it. I guess that's why they make different songs.

Live orchestral music makes your heart soar.

Working in the yard I listen to the I❤️ (Iheart) radio app and the America’s top 40 with Casey Kasem, it really brings back some great memories and I get to revisit songs that were hot back in the day but would get no play on the current “classic rock” stations.
Interesting back stories on the artists by Casey, and it is quite rewarding to hear some songs, others you go…. Yeah… I liked it at the time, but it has not weathered well.
All in All, fun though.

I'm listening to McCartney II on vinyl. Not sure why I put it on, I don’t really care for it.

I'm listening to McCartney II on vinyl. Not sure why I put it on, I don’t really care for it. I really liked that period of McCartney's career, even his Back to the egg album which was not well received, I listened to it a lot. Truly a genius at his craft. I felt bad for him losing Linda to cancer, by all accounts they had a great marriage. When he remarried, I suspected at the time that he was lonely, and that did not bode well for him financially in the intermediate run.

We had the "McCartney" album on 8 track in the company traveling music box and it was all right. It never got purposely destroyed like the Dylan. It was nice on a dark road at night with 3 out of 6 men asleep. Not something I would buy.

Well I finished McCartney II. I thought I would stick with former Beatles, but I picked my favorite one this time, George Harrison. Listening to Cloud Nine on vinyl.

A great tribute to the guy...Prince's guitar work is especially fitting. I like the black-haired kid's expression between Petty and Prince, he knew that he had scored quite a gig that would stand.

That was good. Nice seeing some of his bandmates from The Traveling Wilburys in it.

Moving on from former Beatles, but with an appropriate segue, since this song on the album was written as an insult to John Lennon. Listening to Can’t Buy a Thrill.

To be honest, I didn't really care for any of the Beatles' post-Beatles albums. John did the best work, imho, but even it was very uneven. Paul and George had a good song here and there, but that's it. This is to my ears, mind you.
Ringo . . . should've stuck to playing drums. Session work. Join somebody else's band. Something. Not a singer and definitely not a front man.
