I have been toying with the idea of buying a Savinelli 315KS for a while, mostly out of nostalgia since my first “nice” briar pipe was a 315KS. I figured I’d run across one sooner or later. Well I did and I got it today. It’s easily been smoked less than ten times and I got it for less than the tamper from this set sells for on eBay, so I’m really happy.

That tamper is almost as nice as the one "the nice Italian man" sent me. 😜

Yesterday the bad stuff seemed to just skim by me, I talked to someone about eight miles north and they lost power and said a tree dropped over in their neighborhood. My stepson in Plymouth said it was mild there though.

I wasn’t even familiar with the Sun Set series prior to getting this one and I couldn’t even find that much info online about it, but I’m glad they used good wood for them 🙂.

Well, any Savinelli is going to be a good pipe, but these are exceptionally beautiful. They have a lot of lines that don't get imported.

I've always liked the 315. It's a fine looking . . . pipe.

I placed my monthly tobacco order earlier today and by Thursday I'll get...
...200g HH Pure VA Flake ...100g DTM Limerick Flake ...50g McConnell Scottish Flake ...50g Wessex Brown VA Flake (last one in stock)
The Limerick has been hard to get over the last few months and I'm looking forward to it.

Some Former's Cross-Grain Flake, Pipe Force II, a Kiribi Kuboto Tsuchime lighter, and some of those little meerschaum discs that somebody mentioned. Worth a try.

I just ordered a pair of these car window rain shields from Weathertech. www.weathertech.com/nissan/2017/altima/side-window-deflectors/They allow the windows to be lowered to an inch or so to allow for ventilation while keeping out the rain. We had them on our old Jeep Cherokee and found them to be really handy. I should get them via FedEx in a couple of days.

Just got my old Grabows back from Silver. He did a great job cleaning them up for me. I got the pipes from joeman and they used to be Tom's from Dr. Grabow.

Just placed an order with country squire. I ordered some old dark fired, some awakened elder and a blend they have called cowboy coffee. The other two I am very familiar with, but the cowboy coffee is a new one for me

I'm on about my 10th set of Ventshades for as many cars. On my 73 pickup I had polished stainless steel, but I am pretty sure they were still Ventshades. A must have in Texas.

I'm stiiiiillll waiting for a new head from my eGo weedeater. They're sold out and backordered everywhere. I've been waiting over a month.
Gee I wonder why.
Oh I know it's despite otherwise making great battery powered tools their weedeaters suck donkey ears and everybody is replacing the head.
I have a snowblower, mower, edger, blower, all great.
Nothing but problems with the trimmer.

In better news. My recent tobaccopipes.com should arrive tommorow or Monday. It's like it's 2008 again. Going back to revisit Two Timer as a burley mixing base and hitting some C&D I somehow missed. The Tuggle Hall I currently enjoy and just stocking up. I'm really back into C&D Burley and Latakia blends. And I had to finally try HB before Silver smokes it all 😂 The two chocolates are for mixing as well. Just a light sprinkle of cocoa can go nicely with some mixtures.

C&D has a backhoe and cement truck for blending their batches!
